2.19 Rapid Diagnostic Service (RDS) The RDS provided essential support to general practice, community pharmacists, or hospital emergency departments with an essential urgent suspect cancer pathway referral for those patients who had serious but non-specific symptoms. It was decommissioned in September 2025. During the period of April 2025 until the end of September 2025, the team saw 324 patients.
