3. Strategic objective: Patient Access and Experience
Aligned with CQC domains: Responsive, Caring, Well-Led
Improving access to general practice and patient experience will remain a central priority, recognising ongoing demand and the need for equitable, person-centred care within our services and NPC managed practices. We will: Improve timely access to appointments, including same-day and urgent care provision, Enhance continuity of care, particularly for patients with complex or long-term conditions. Reduce health inequalities by improving access for vulnerable and underserved groups. Strengthen patient engagement and co-production in service design.
This will be achieved by:
Optimising triage systems and digital access, while maintaining appropriate non-digital routes. Expanding use of multidisciplinary teams to match patient need to the most appropriate professional. Continue working with local communities, Healthwatch, and patient participation groups to gather and act on feedback. Sustaining the “You said, we did” approaches to demonstrate responsiveness to patient input.
