'GROWING AS MUCH AS I CAN'
Daikin Frontline Leader Finds Right Fit For 20 years, PACEDRIC BREWER was looking for a career with a family-oriented company and opportunities to grow. He’s found both with our team. Pacedric was hired to our Daikin Comfort Technologies account in August of 2024 as a driver. He had extensive experience behind the wheel, but other companies had not provided a long-term pathway for promotion. “Most companies wanted me to go to college before I could move into leadership,” explains Pacedric, who was promoted to frontline leader last October. “For me to come to Averitt and be promoted in this amount of time, it was amazing.” Pacedric was inspired by the growth story of his site manager, KEVIN BERRY , who is also a former driver. “Looking at Kevin over the last year and a half and seeing how he did it, that gave me confidence,” Pacedric says. “I wanted the challenge of being in leadership. I’m the type of person who, once I start, I want to constantly learn more and more. I’m so thankful that Averitt gave me the opportunity to move into a leadership position. I’m so excited to be here.” AIMING HIGH FOR THE FUTURE Pacedric hopes it’s just the start of a long and productive career with Averitt. “I plan on retiring from Averitt,” he says. “There’s so much I want to do with this team. As long as Averitt will have me, I’m not going anywhere. I’m planning on growing as much as I can.” For now, Pacedric is finding that his time behind the wheel is a huge plus for his fellow Daikin associates. “Our drivers know I’ve been a driver and I have that experience,” he explains. “That helps when I’m offering some advice, because they know it’s something I’ve already done.”
Daikin Comfort Technologies frontline leader PACEDRIC BREWER came to Averitt with extensive experience as a driver, and now he can pass along that knowledge to our team in his new role.
HELPFUL TIPS Pacedric says there are several actions associates can take to find out how we Promote From Within . “I would tell associates to stay positive,” he says. “Build relationships with the associates you work with. Learn as much as you possibly can. Communicate with your leaders and inform them of your goals.” YOUR STORY COULD BE NEXT Our Career Opportunities page on InsideAveritt is another tool that can help you be on the lookout for open positions with our team.
