Tulsa Excited For Opening Of New Service Center

For some time, our Tulsa operations have been growing to the point where a new service center has become a necessity. Luckily for associates there, they’ve been able to watch the progress in real time. Located right off Highway 44, a major road with great visibility in the city, our new Tulsa facility will be very close to our current service center. We anticipate moving into the new digs sometime in the second quarter. “Our team is very excited,” says Service Center Director ZACH MEAD . “They’ve been able to see it get done day by day. They’re super excited for where it is. The location doesn’t make anybody drive any farther or any less. We’re literally moving half a mile down the road.” BY THE NUMBERS The new service center will provide significantly more space and amenities, including: • 6,600 square feet of office space • 52 dock doors, compared to the current 32 • A dock that is 25 feet wider than the current one • Approximately 15,000 square feet for warehousing at the end of the dock • Parking lot dedicated for Averitt associates “All of that is going to help our associates,” Zach says. “And there’s an area where we can possibly put some sort of workout room where associates can

exercise, get on the treadmill and improve their health. That brings a lot of excitement as well.” OVER-THE-ROAD AMENITIES Over-the-road drivers passing through the area will also have expanded amenities. “They won’t have to go to a truck stop,” Zach explains. “If they’re on the yard, they’ll have showers and everything they need, including two different breakrooms. It’s going to benefit our over-the-road drivers. We don’t see many in this area right now, but I can see that changing. This facility will be a game-changer for everybody who comes through Tulsa.” We’re proud to invest in new facilities, because they keep us ready for new opportunities with customers. And investments in facilities are investments in our associates. After all, these improvements are made possible by the efforts of our team.
