But starting a business most often takes an investment of hundreds of thousands of pesos, and sometimes millions. And even then, the road to success is fraught with obstacles and serious financial risk. CREATING REPEAT INCOME FOR YOUR FAMILY All compensation to our Marketing Executives is based on the sale of products to end consumers. However, you will never have to “sell” a single product to anyone since all products are sold directly by Melaleuca to your customers. Your role is simply to refer customers to shop at Melaleuca. You will be paid commissions whenever those customers purchase products. It’s all about having delighted customers who, because of their personal experience of increased energy and healthier lives, continue to purchase Melaleuca products month after month. Delighted customers create an enormous demand for Melaleuca products. Since most of Melaleuca’s customers are Members who purchase every month, that can mean dependable monthly income for you for the rest of your life! Your income will depend on how many loyal customers you have and how much they purchase each month. As with any business, your success will take hard work, diligence, perseverance, and leadership. But the result can bring significant change to your life.

Important business principles… Building a Melaleuca business follows the same principles found in most businesses. One key principle is that successful managers can effectively manage only a limited number of direct reports. Therefore, a Melaleuca independent business is initially limited to five first-generation positions. This organization design offers the best in personal leadership and customer service. As a Melaleuca Marketing Executive, you will be authorized to build a Marketing Organization consisting of seven generations of management and customers. You will begin with five direct positions on your first business generation. Each of those positions will have five first-generation positions and so forth. As you develop other leaders within your Marketing Organization you can qualify for additional first-generation positions.
Supplementing your regular income with profits from your Melaleuca business can dramatically change the financial outlook of your family. Melaleuca strongly recommends that you do not leave your current employment to build a Melaleuca business. We advocate that you be the best employee you can be for your current employer, but use your spare time to build a vibrant Marketing Organization. Please do not consider leaving your current job until your Melaleuca business is producing at least three times the current income of your full-time job. Remember, at Melaleuca everyone has the opportunity to work toward a successful business without investing money. There’s no need to pay for advertising, marketing, or meeting rooms. Commissions You earn commissions from customers who were 1) enrolled by you and 2) enrolled by others .
You are paid commissions when customers in your organization purchase products from Melaleuca. The commissions are calculated based on how many Product Points each customer purchases in a given month. Customers enrolled by you :
Customers enrolled by others : Organization Commissions: After you have enrolled your first customer, you will receive a 3.5X Product Points multiplier on the first 150 Product Points purchased by each customer enrolled by others in your organization starting in the customer’s second month. The number of generations your commissions are paid on depends on your “Commission Rate.” • Product Advocates are paid on 2 generations . • Product Advocates 2 are paid on 3 generations . • Product Advocates 3 are paid on 4 generations . • Directors and above are paid on 7 generations .
Product Introduction Commission: When you personally enroll a customer, you will receive 25X the number of Product Points on orders your customers place during their first month. Personal Customer Commission: Beginning with a customer’s second month , you will receive a commission on the first 150 Product Points purchased by all customers you personally enrolled. The monthly commission that you will receive will depend on how many Active Personally Enrolled Customers you have during that month.

How to earn Leadership Points • Whenever a new customer is enrolled, 6 Leadership Points are awarded— 4 points are awarded to the enroller and 2 points are awarded to the person who made the presentation. An additional point is awarded to the presenter if the enrollee purchases a Value Pack during the month of enrollment. • When a leader helps their new personally enrolled Marketing Executive enroll new Members in their month of enrollment or the following two months, the leader will receive an additional 3 Leadership Points on each of their personally enrolled Marketing Executive’s first 10 new Member enrollments. • In addition to enrollments and presentations, Directors and above earn 10 Leadership Points for each personal enrollee who advances to a new Status of Director and above in the month of advancement. Those 10 Leadership Points are doubled to 20 points when the personal enrollee advances to a new Status of Director or above on Pacesetter schedule.

Advancement Bonus: You will earn an Advancement Bonus each time you advance to a new Status. The higher the new Status, the larger the bonus. There are 49 Statuses—each Status is higher than the previous Status. So if you work hard, it does not take long to advance from one Status to the next.

Pacesetter Bonus: After you view the Foundations video at Melaleuca.com/FoundationsVideo in your month of enrollment or the following two months, you will be eligible for the Pacesetter Program. The Pacesetter Bonus will pay you double the Advancement Bonus each time you advance through the Director ranks. To receive the Pacesetter Bonus, you must advance to each Status within a specific timeline. Each Status has a different timeline. Mentoring Bonus: You can qualify to earn the Mentoring Bonus each time one of your personal enrollees advances to Director through Senior Director. You will earn an amount equal to 50% of the Advancement or Pacesetter Bonus paid to your advancing personal Directors through the Status of Senior Director. Note: Melaleuca’s mission is to help people reach their goals. The better you are at helping others reach their goals, the more you will benefit financially. And the more that your support team helps you reach your goals, the more they will benefit financially.
To qualify for the Mentoring Bonus, your Commission Rate must be equal to or higher than that of your advancing personal enrollee each time they advance in Status.
Critical Activity Bonus: Marketing Executives with a minimum Commission Rate of Director 3 and above can qualify for the Critical Activity Bonus once they have been with Melaleuca for a minimum of three months. To qualify for the Critical Activity Bonus, you must focus on enrolling new customers, developing personal leadership, growing your business and maintaining a healthy personal customer retention of at least 90% based on a three-month average.

Financial Wellness Bonus: Marketing Executives can qualify to receive the P20,000 monthly Financial Wellness Bonus the month they advance to Senior Director and meet the following criteria: 1. Financial Wellness Form submitted to the Coaching & Leader Development Team. 2. Maintain a Commission Rate of Senior Director or above. Notes: 1. Enrollments and leadership development can be from home and international markets except China. 2. Growth from your personally enrolled customers excludes inheritances and growth from your organization customers excludes rollups. 3. The new personal Director or Director 3 must be developed in the current or prior two months and maintain their Commission Rate in the current month. 4. Personal Customer Retention is determined by the number of active Members who shopped from the previous month and shopped again in the current month (excluding inheritances).

The Fine Print : Things you need to know When you are dealing with a program that has already paid out over US$7.5 billion, you’ve got to expect there’s going to be a little fine print just to make sure our people are representing our company and products ethically and honestly and to make sure those who are paid substantial amounts are involved in the endeavor of helping others. So here it goes.
“Status” means “Commission Rate Status”: Whenever the word “Status” is used when discussing Melaleuca’s Compensation Plan in this booklet, “Status” means your “Commission Rate Status.” Limits on Order Size: Commissions are paid at a maximum of 150 Product Points that a customer purchases each month. No commissions are paid on amounts exceeding 150 Product Points. A Marketing Executive’s Organization Volume Calculations will include a maximum of P17,500 per month per customer/ Marketing Executive. No Commissions Paid on Backup Orders During the First Three Months: Commissions will only be paid on a customer’s first three months of purchase if the customer actually places an order. In other words, Backup Orders are not commissionable in the first three months. Qualification for Commission: In order to receive commissions a Marketing Executive must have met all the qualifications as a defined “Marketing Executive” and have one active personal customer. Marketing Executives without an active personal enrollee in the month will receive commissions up to P700 paid in Loyalty Shopping Dollars. Leadership Points: Average Leadership Points for a Status are calculated on up to a three-month average. Leadership Points awarded for new Members are included in the calculation as long as that customer remains a Member during their first three months. PEG (Personal Enrollee Group Volume): The total Organization Volume of a Marketing Executive’s personal enrollees in any given month. True PEG (True Personal Enrollee Group Volume): The total Organization Volume of a Marketing Executive’s personal enrollees in any given month. (Contrary to how “PEG” is calculated, “True PEG” counts each customer’s monthly purchase volume only once, even though that customer might be under several personal enrollees in the organization.)
Advancement Bonus/Pacesetter Bonus Payouts: Marketing Executives are paid an Advancement or Pacesetter Bonus in the month that they advance to Director for the first time. 1. As Marketing Executives advance from Director to Director 2 and beyond, they are paid an Advancement Bonus for each new high Status they achieve. Marketing Executives advancing to Director through Director 3 for the first time will receive their Advancement or Pacesetter Bonus in the month of advancement. 2. Beginning with advancements to Director 4 and above, Marketing Executives who have an Organization Retention Rate of 90% or higher will receive 1/3 of the Advancement or Pacesetter Bonus in the month of advancement, 1/3 in the second month, and 1/3 in the third month (assuming they maintain that Status for consecutive months). Marketing Executives who have an Organization Retention Rate that is less than 90% will receive the Advancement or Pacesetter Bonus after the new Status has been held for three consecutive months. If the Marketing Executive does not maintain that Status the next month, the unpaid portion of that Advancement or Pacesetter Bonus will be deferred until they reach that Status again. Starting at Director 7, Marketing Executives will be paid up to a maximum of three 1/3 payments of the Advancement or Pacesetter Bonus in one given month (applicable to one OR more Status Advancements). Non-Philippine Customer Organization Volume Credits: Philippine Marketing Executives earn Organization Volume calculations for international customers based on these two categories: 1. Non-Philippine Members: P2,900 Organization Volume credit per Member. 2. Non-Philippine active customers: P2,400 Organization Volume credit per active customer. Product Point–based commissions and bonuses (for example: Product Introduction Commission, Personal Customer Commission, Organization Commission, etc.) will continue to be paid based on the actual Product Points purchased by a Melaleuca customer.

Inverted PEG Volume: Directors or above with Marketing Organization Product Points greater than 20,000 but with a PEG Volume less than their Organization Volume may receive an Organization Commission of up to 10% of their PEG Volume. Leadership Meeting Attendance: Senior Directors and above must attend key Melaleuca leadership events such as Convention in order to qualify for bonuses. If a Senior Director or above does not attend one of the required events, they will not be eligible to receive bonuses until they attend a future required event. Leadership Required: Directors who produce less than one Leadership Point in the last three months may earn up to P2,800 in Organization Commissions. Product Advocates (one active personally enrolled customer) may earn up to a maximum of P700. Product Advocates 2 (two to three active personally enrolled customers) may earn up to a maximum of P1,400. Product Advocates 3 (four to seven active personally enrolled customers) may earn up to a maximum of P2,100 in Organization Commissions. Personal Production Account: For you to qualify for commissions during any given month, your Personal Production Account must purchase a total of at least P2,400 during that month. Your Personal Production Account can be a Member, so those using this account may purchase products at Member prices. Member: Has stipulated in the Customer Membership Agreement (CMA) that the customer is committed to purchase at least P2,900 per month and has ordered at least P2,900 in a calendar month. In addition to many other benefits, Members receive 30% to 50% discounts on Melaleuca products. Requirements to be a Member in the Philippines include: 1. For Prepaid Enrollment, a Government ID is required (e.g., TIN, SSS, UMID, GSIS, Driver’s License, Voter’s ID) 2. For Non-Prepaid Enrollment, a mode of payment that is a Visa or Mastercard credit or debit card is required. Prepaid debit cards are not accepted. No need to submit a Government ID for Non-Prepaid Enrollment.
Retention Rate: The Organization Retention Rate is the percentage of Members in your organization last month who remained a Member in the current month. It is computed by dividing the number of organization Members in the previous month who are also Members in the current month by the number of organization Members in the previous month. For example, if you have 100 organization Members at the end of last month and 95 of them shopped again in the current month, your Organization Retention Rate is (95/100) X 100 = 95%. Credits For Corporate Directors: To advance beyond Corporate Director Status, a Corporate Director must maintain the minimum qualifications for Corporate Director, which are: have at least 10 personally enrolled Directors (five of which need to be Executive Directors), and achieve minimum Organization and PEG Volume and minimum credits equal to the next status advancement. The credits are calculated each month based on the Commission Rate of your personally enrolled Executive, National, or Corporate Directors as follows:

Quality Customer Enrollment: All necessary requirements to be a Member are received by Melaleuca and the customer has fulfilled the monthly commitment by placing an order in their month of enrollment. Active Customer: A customer (Member and Non- Member) who purchases at least P2,400 worth of products during the calendar month is counted as an active customer. However, as they have not met the P2,900 shopping commitment in that monthly order, a Backup Order will be sent.
Business Documents: A Marketing Executive must comply with all statutory business requirements and issue official receipts for commissions and bonuses earned. Government taxes shall apply to all commissions and bonuses. Statement of Policies: Refer to the Statement of Policies in the Business Center to learn more about how to protect and solidify your Melaleuca business and the businesses of others on your team.
