Engage in discussions on possible challenges to the free movement of mechanical parts in lift gates and fences, and how to replace and repair these, and share experiences on the free movement of mechanical parts in lift gates and fences
Mechanical parts should include a:
a. Guard locking control box on the bottom platform fence
b. Guard locking switch and its actuator on the fence door using supplied hardware
c. Lift detection switch on its bracket on the bottom fence and connect to the socket on a guard locking control box
d. Power cable power inlet plug to a guard locking control box outlet
ELEMENT 4.2 - GATE LOCKING SYSTEMS
Learning objective:
25) The participants can perform a function test on a gate locking system and perform repair and adjustment when necessary (Skills, intermediate level)
The instructor shall:
Present examples of different gate locking systems
Lead or facilitate discussion on different gate locking systems
Facilitate practical training on repair and adjustment of gate locking systems
The participants shall:
Engage in discussions and share experiences about gate locking system
Practise how to test, adjust and repair gate locking systems

26) The participants can perform installation of guard locking components (Skills, intermediate level)
