The instructor shall:
Present and demonstrate examples of different guard locking components
Lead a discussion and facilitate the practical training on guard locking components
The participants shall:
Practise installation of guard locking control boxes
Practise installation of guard locking switch and its actuator, including connection to the control box
Practise installation of a lift detection switch on its bracket on the bottom fence and connect to the socket on a guard locking control box
ELEMENT 4.4 - UPPER AND LOWER HATCHES
Learning objective:
27) The participants can describe a function test of the operation of switches on upper and lower hatches (Knowledge, basic level)
The instructor shall:
Facilitate a discussion based on visual examples on how to function test the operation of switches on upper and lower hatches, and lead a following discussion about why to test these
The participants shall:
Engage in the discussion about functions tests of upper and lower hatches
ELEMENT 4.5 - FORMATIVE POST-EVALUATION
The participants shall:
Conduct a short questionnaire test to recap the theory and safety issues from Lesson 4
Check own answers and solutions from the shown fact list on completion of the test
