70) The participants can perform a visual inspection and replacement of a grounding system and grounding rotating unit (Skills, intermediate level)
The instructor shall:
Demonstrate and facilitate practical training on how to inspect and replace a grounding system, e.g. a grounding rotating unit or grounding cable
Provide feedback to the participants on their performance during the practical training
The participants shall:
Engage in practice on inspecting and replacing grounding systems, share experiences, and apply the received feedback in following exercises
ELEMENT 12.4 - ROPE ENDS
Learning objective:
71) The participants can explain how to do a visual inspection of the rope ends to ensure they are sufficiently coiled up, as well as how to determine if cutting or shortening of rope ends is needed (Knowledge, intermediate level)
The instructor shall:
Present examples of how to visually inspect coiled up rope ends and lead a discussion about how to coil up wires
Present examples of rope ends, where cutting rope ends is needed
Lead or facilitate discussion on cutting rope ends
The participants shall:
Discuss from rope end examples if shortening rope ends is needed or not, engage in discussions and share experiences on inspecting and shortening rope ends
