83) The participants can perform an inspection, maintenance, and a replacement of a traction hoist and components according to the manuals (Skills, intermediate level)
The instructor shall:
Demonstrate examples of how to:
a.
Remove and install a traction hoist
b.
Lubricate the gear
c. Inspect the attachment of the traction hoist to the lift
d. Do a wear test of centrifugal brake descent according to manuals and guides
e. Check the operation of motor break at top- and bottom-drive unit
f.
Do a speed test during emergency descent
g. Do a visual inspection for leaks on drive unit and report in case of leaks
Facilitate practical training on how to:
a.
Remove and install a traction hoist
b. Mount the wire (the mounting of the wire may be done in connection to the replacement of a divertor)
c.
Lubricate the gear (e.g. a sheave gear)
d.
How to do a wear test of centrifugal brake
e. How to inspect for wear on the drive unit, e.g. pulley, gear-teeth, sheaves, and the divertor (including replacing the divertor when needed) according to the manual
f. How to do a speed test during emergency descent
The practical training may be conducted as rotation training, where the participants practise the individual topics in pairs, changing topic every five minutes (or any duration fitting the learning plan)
Note
The participants shall:
Engage in the practical training, share experiences on hoist and drive units and apply the received feedback in following learning activities
