ELEMENT 4.4 - PRE-USE INSPECTION STEPS, INSIDE THE LIFT
Learning objective:
27) The participants can perform functions tests and, activation and de-activation of protection systems, according to the relevant manual (Skills, intermediate level)
The instructor shall:
Present all relevant protection systems from different lift types
Facilitate a group discussion on the principles of relevant protection systems, including the overload system
Facilitate an exercise on activating and de-activating relevant protection systems according to the relevant manual
Provide feedback on the participants’ performance and understanding
The participants shall:
Activate and de-activate the relevant protection systems as prescribed in the relevant manual
Ensure other relevant functionalities are in accordance to the manual
Engage in discussions about protection systems and their purpose
ELEMENT 4.5 - PRE-USE INSPECTION OF LIFT, GENERAL SAFETY
Learning objective:
28) The participants can explain the relationship between technically flawless components and the mitigation of risks, including sufficient lightning in the cabin (Knowledge, Intermediate level)
The instructor shall:
Facilitate group discussions on procedures of how to inspect relevant components in different lift types
