The participants shall:
Engage in discussions about hazards from obstacles in the travel range, so that they understand the risks of obstacles, and by that will take the initiative to ensure the free travel range of the lift or decide not to use the lift
ELEMENT 5.5 - SAFETY INSIDE THE LIFT
Learning objective:
37) The participants can take initiative and responsibility to always maintain safety when inside the lift (Ability, intermediate level)
The instructor shall:
Lead learning activities where safety inside the lift is practised, including:
a.
the use of PFPE attachment anchor points
b.
movement inside the cabin during use of a lift
c.
general safety considerations when operating a lift
Provide guidance and feedback on the participants’ performance during the practical training and discuss safety issues on alternative lift types
The participants shall:
During the elements of lesson 5, on their own initiative, secure themselves to anchor points when relevant
Pay attention to the risk of poor stability due to their movements in the lift
Discuss the emergency functionalities on the manoeuvre panel
Receive feedback constructively follow the manuals
