38) The participants can perform the operation of gates and fences correctly, performing a safe entry and exit between lift and platform (Skills, intermediate level)
The instructor shall:
Design and conduct learning activities where the following is practised or discussed:
a. operation of electrical and mechanical functioning of fences and gates
b.
safe entry and exit between lift and platform
Present and discuss fences and gates on alternative lift types and include participants’ experiences
Provide feedback on the participants’ performance during the practical training
The participants shall:
Practise how to operate gates and fences
Discuss electrical and mechanical functions of gates and fences
Practise the safe entry and exit between lift and platform
Engage in discussions about gates and fences on alternative lift types
Receive feedback constructively
ELEMENT 5.7 - FAULTS AND DAMAGE
Learning objective:
39) The participants can explain actions to be taken when faults or damage to the lift system are found (Knowledge, intermediate level)
The instructor shall:
Present examples of faults and damage on lift systems and lead a discussion about what actions must to be taken according to manuals, guidance, and site instructions
Provide feedback on the participants’ engagement and contributions to the discussion
