54) The participants can take responsibility for leaving the lift in parking position and, on their own, take initiative and seek guidance in manuals and directives when needed (Ability, intermediate level)
The instructor shall:
Explain how leaving the lift in parking position can mitigate risks
Show examples of potential hazards and risks when not parking the lift according to the manual
Lead a discussion on reasons for leaving the lift in parking position, such as:
a.
Safety of workers and the WTG
b.
Damage to the lift or the WTG
c. Safe access to the WTG for maintenance work, routine inspections, repairs, or replacements
d.
Compliance with regulations
The participants shall:
Engage in group discussions and share experiences about parking the lift and about potential hazards and risks if the lift is not parked according to manuals and instructions
ELEMENT 7.2 - SHUTDOWN PROCEDURE
Learning objective:
55) The participants can describe how to shut down the lift after use (Knowledge, basic level)
The instructor shall:
Present principles and responsibilities in relation to lift shutdown procedures for different situations, e.g.:
a.
Out of order
b.
Leaving from the base of tower
