29) The participants can take responsibility for inspecting a lift cabin and decide if the lift cabin and its attachment parts and anchor points are in a flawless and a safe operational condition (Ability, intermediate level)
ELEMENT 5.1 - VIEWING WINDOWS AND LIFT CERTIFICATION
Learning objective:
30) The participants can explain how to do a visual inspection of viewing windows and adhesive signs for the startup and maintenance certification in a lift (Knowledge, intermediate level)
The instructor shall:
Present examples of viewing windows in a lift
Present examples of adhesive signs for the startup (and maintenance) certification and explain the importance of inspecting adhesive signs ensuring they are current, completed and have the correct dates
Facilitate a short exercise on:
a.
viewing windows in a lift and their potential faults.
b. adhesive signs for the startup and maintenance certification
Provide feedback to the participants on their performance in the exercise
The participants shall:
Inspect viewing windows and adhesive signs for the startup and maintenance certification in a lift, or engage in a simulated exercise about viewing windows and adhesive signs with and without faults
ELEMENT 5.2 - FASTENERS
Learning objective:
31) The participants can explain how to do visual inspection of all fasteners (screws and bolts) in a lift and how to tighten screws and bolts according to the manual (Knowledge, intermediate level)
