Welcome to our May 2024 Production Sale. This is an amazing time to be in the beef industry. Feeder calf prices are climbing to highs we have rarely seen in our industry. Now is the time to invest in your future by adding some of these top genetics to your herd. The female offering puts our best foot forward, year after year. These females have been selected from the heart of our herd, and we look forward to them being successful additions to your herd. We have worked diligently for over 8 decades to produce cattle that thrive on minimum inputs. The genetic investments available at this sale are unlike any other offered in the nation. We were honored to be the top Pathfinder herd in the state of Missouri and second in the nation. Mead Farms takes great pride in the quality of our females. “Build the cows and the bulls will come.” We invite you to stop by the farm and view the offering at your convenience. There are almost 100 spring pairs in this offering, many of them 3 in 1’s. The Bred Heifers in this sale are bred to some of the top sires in their respective breeds. The fall bred cows are proven cows that have earned a spot in this sale. Whatever you need to add to your herd, rest assured you can find it here. There are 60+ bulls for your evaluation. They all carry genomic enhanced EPDs and all the production data. We take weights at birth, weaning, yearling and ultrasound. Each bull comes with a full BSE performed by a veterinarian. MEAD FARMS BREEDING GUARANTEE We guarantee that all breeding cattle sold by Mead Farms, both bulls and females, are fertile to the best of our knowledge. Each bull has passed a complete breeding soundness exam by a licensed veterinarian. Breeding Age Bulls All bulls selling for $3500 or more will receive a first breeding season guarantee. A breeding season is defined as 90 day from the bulls turnout date. If a bull is found to be infertile at any point during this first breeding season following the sale so to make him functionally unable to service and settle a cow, we will provide you with the following. 1). A satisfactory replacement, if one is available. 2). Credit in a future Mead Farms Sale equal to the purchase price less $2,000 (salvage value) This is not an insurance policy, nor does it cover death, accidental injury or neglect. Spring cows will be sold as exposed, as they are still running with a bull. We recommend taking them home and putting them with the bull of your choice until the end of your breeding season. Ultrasound information was done by Dr. Hunt Tainter, DVM and gives an estimated breeding date. We provide all the information we have on the breeding of these animals to the best of our knowledge. The replacement females are guaranteed to breed within the first 6 months after the sale date.
