Class Cancellations Classes may be cancelled due to lack of registrations. We reserve the right to change or cancel programs if necessary. Every effort will be made to avoid these changes. In the event of inclement weather, listen to Easy101.3 or check www.tillsonburg.ca for updates. HST Fees in this guide are subject to HST. Note that HST does not apply to pro- grams for children 14 years of age and under (excluding rentals). Transfer Requests Class transfer must occur prior to the third class and will be based on class availability. After the third class, transfers will only be allowed at a Program Co- ordinator’s discretion. Credit Procedure If your plans change and you need to withdraw from a class, pro-rated credit will be given to you if you notify us prior to the third class. Credits will remain on account for up to 2 years, after which they expire. Returned NSF Cheques / Credit Cards Payments made by cheque or credit card which are not accepted by the bank, must be replaced with a cash payment. A $35.00 administrative fee will be charged for each returned cheque or rejected credit card. Skate Admission Standards We want everyone to be safe and have fun when they come skating. Please note the following:

• Sports equipment (sticks, rings or pucks) is NOT allowed on the ice • It is recommended that children wear a CSA approved hel- met and face cage • Some Public Skates may be cancelled due to tournaments or special events

• All participants must wear skates while on the ice for safety • Caregivers without skates must super- vise from off the ice

Wristband Policy and Pool Admission Standards Our facility uses wristbands to identify young and at-risk swimmers in the pool.

- Given to children 5 years old and under - Given to children 6-9 years who don’t pass the swim test - Given to children ages 6-9 years who want to attempt the swim test

- Given to children ages 6-9 years who have passed the swim test

Age 5 and Under

• Children must be within arm’s reach of a guardian (12 years+) at all times, regardless of swimming ability. • Children under the age of 5 may not be admitted to the swimming pool unless they are accompanied by a parent or guardian (12 years+) • One guardian will be required for every two children (1:2)

Age 6-9 years

Facility Swim Test To pass the facility swim test, a child must be able to swim two widths of the pool with his or her face in the water. Swimmers must maintain a regular, comfortable breath- ing pattern and must not stop during the entire distance.

• Children must successfully complete the facility swim test in order to swim independently of their guardian (12 years+). If they do not pass, they must stay within arm’s reach of the guardian. • One guardian will be required for every four children (1:4) • One guardian may supervise up to eight children (1:8) wearing lifejackets

Individuals with Serious Medical Conditions Individuals with serious medical conditions should be

accompanied by an individual 12 years of age or older who is knowledge- able of the condition and can assume responsibility for direct supervision.

Do you find it difficult to commit to a session of lessons due to co-parenting arrangements or schedule conflicts? Drop In Swim Lessons give you the flexibility you need. When : Saturdays, 12:30 PM - 1:00 PM Fee : $ 7.50 per lesson for first child $ 4.25 per lesson for each additional child NEW! Drop In Swimming Lessons Children arrive and are divided into groups based on their swimming abilities. Once a child has attended 8 lessons, you’ll receive a report card on their progress. No need to pre-register. Just pay at our Customer Service Desk and present your receipt to the Deck Supervisor.

If you’re not sure what level to register your child in, please contact an aquat- ics coordinator to set up a time for a free assessment at aquatics@tillsonburg.ca or 519.688.9011 • Children ages 7+ must change in their gender specific changeroom. Junior Lifeguard Club

Rookie lifeguards will enjoy an action-packed program that will prepare them to become certified lifeguards and instructors. Participants will have the opportunity to work alongside qualified instructors and practice Lifesaving Skills and Swimming Fundamentals. * Suitable for swimmers who have completed Swimmer 3. Includes a Junior Lifeguard Club T-shirt.
