AK Jensen Group Limited and its subsidiaries, established in 1995, serves hedge fund and institutional clients in 35 countries around the world. AKJ is dedicated to cutting costs and lowering the barriers to entry for professional hedge funds by offering an all-inclusive platform solution for setting up and operating funds. Due to continued growth AKJ are looking to add a Sales/Business Development Manager to strengthen the team in London and capitalise on the rising tide potential in both the traditional and crypto hedge fund marketplaces. The successful candidate will be a proactive self-starter with experience developing business through networking with prospective hedge fund managers and educating them on the benefits of AKJ’s platform solutions when they look to set up their investments.

__ JOB DESCRIPTION 03

This role is focused on building relationships with clients with a view to winning new business. You will target those looking to set up hedge funds selling the software and platform that back this up. This offering enables someone to set up at significantly lower levels, usually you might need $100 million to start a viable fund whereas with AKJ’s platform you can start with as little at $2 million. The role is about continually attracting, developing and maintaining a network of hedge fund clients, and be the trusted partner our high level clientele have come to expect.

Represent the business selling to analysts, brokers, spin off brokers, hedge fund managers to develop a strong pipeline of potential clients in the hedge fund space

AS SALES MANAGER FOR AKJ YOU WILL:

Take ownership of the sales process to sign and follow the client relationship through to IOP and funding approach

In order to generate quality leads, you attend and participate in industry events and thought leadership networking to increase visibility and brand awareness

Mix incoming requests from potential hedge fund prospects (40% of leads) with your self-generated leads from networking (expected 60%), aiming to sign on 8-10 funds a year

Cover the UK with potential travel to Europe but the focus will be on London with the majority of your time focused on the UK market

__ PERSON SPECIFICATION 04

A sales or business development or relationship management professional who is capable of networking and winning new business

AKJ IS LOOKING FOR:

Knowledge of brokerages, trading, investment bank- ing or other professional financial background with an understanding of the hedge fund busines

Empathy to establish trust with, and confidence in holding small-group presentations to, resourceful professionals

You are a proactive self-starter, result driven and keen to be face to face with potential customers

Sales skills may be key to succeed in the position. Nevertheless, your ability to represent the company in a trustworthy and honest manner are key in ensuring referral business, which is as important for your long term success
