L’ancien Walmart accueillera un Lowe’s

Le vaste stationnement de l’ancienWalmart accueillera une fois de plus les voitures des résidents de Cornwall et de la région. En e!et, le magasin Lowe’s a récemment annoncé qu’il emménagera dans le grand bâtiment dès 2016. « Nous sommes ravis d’avoir cette occa- sion unique de joindre la communauté de Cornwall et de l’Est de l’Ontario, a déclaré Sylvain Prud’homme, président de Lowe’s Canada. Ce nouveaumagasin nous permet- tra de faire partie d’un centre commercial établi et actif. Nous sommes heureux de prendre part à cette formidable opportunité dans ce nouveau marché. » La nouvelle succursale aura environ 100 000 pieds carrés d’espace de vente au détail, avec un centre de jardin adjacent d’environ 13 000 pieds carrés. Le magasin créera 120 à 140 emplois ainsi que 30 à 40 postes saisonniers.

Cornwall est unmar- ché en pleine croissance et qui est de plus en plus populaire auprès des détaillants. » C’est en juillet dernier que Lowe’s a an- noncé son intention d’ouvrir 14 nouveaux magasins au Canada. Les travaux commen- ceront cette semaine.
