This course will assist educators with developing a trauma-informed lens, to help work with students with challenging behaviors. Participants will learn how to identify function of behavior, the principles of function- focused intervention and receive strategies to respond to the needs of children who need the most love, but ask for it in the most unloving of ways.
Intended Audience
Paraprofessionals, general and special education teachers, site administrators, and district administrators.

This meeting serves as a platform for collaboration between the Desert Mountain SELPA Career Readiness and Employment Services team, TPP contracted staff, and guest speakers (TBD) with the shared objective of enhancing the support offered to TPP participants. It provides an opportunity to exchange ideas and engage in strategic planning to optimize the educational and vocational experiences of program participants. Additionally, contract goals will be reviewed and participants will engage in discussions about upcoming workshops and paid work experience opportunities for the year ahead.

Contracted transition partnership program staff.
