Participants will learn how to integrate PBIS and SEL. They will also examine the elements of school-wide SEL and PBIS that promote pro-social behavior across different school contexts. Participants will practice creating an equitable learning environment by selecting social emotional behavioral strategies and features to build into their current practice.

This course examines the impact of adverse childhood experiences (ACES) on student behavior, education, relationships, health, and future success in life. Participants will gain a better understanding of how adverse experiences such as abuse, neglect, foster care, parental incarceration, and poverty affect learning. Participants will learn how to support the unique needs of students with adverse childhood experiences and increase their repertoire of skills to improve student resilience and academic outcomes.
Intended Audience
Special education teachers, general education teachers, counselors, school psychologists, site administrators, paraprofessionals, and support staff.
