In this workshop, educators will learn about the most common mental health issues among children, and how they manifest as behavioral problems in the classroom. Particpants will be introduced to effective classroom strategies to reach and teach children with mental health challenges.

Special education teachers, general education teachers, paraprofessionals, site administrators, district administrators, school psychologists, and school counselors.

Enhancing MTSS - Integrating Student Mental Health and Wellness Through Systems, Data, and Practices SOCIAL/EMOTIONAL SUPPORTS

The purpose of interconnecting MTSS and school-based mental health systems is to create a school culture and climate that promotes wellness (i.e., social emotional, behavioral, and academics) of the whole child. Participants will learn strategies to support the needs of all students, especially those at-risk for or with mental health challenges. Participants will learn how to develop a multi-tiered system of prevention and intervention through the lens of data, systems, and practices.
