For more information or to register for this training, visit the CAHELP OMS Calendar: https://sbcss.k12oms.org/?gid=52 Supporting Students with Autism: Improving Student Outcomes with Evidence-Based Practices PROFESSIONAL LEARNING PATHWAY

Whether you’re new to autism or a veteran having worked with students with autism for years, this pathway is meant for you. The Supporting Students with Autism pathway has been designed to take what we know about autism and put into practice helping students as well as staff feel more successful in day-to-day interactions as well as help improve long term student outcomes. Through the use of online modules, practice activities and discussion questions, participants will have the opportunity to increase their knowledge and awareness of evidence-based practices (EBPs), their uses within our programs and how to modify/adapt their presentation to meet individual learner needs. This pathway is self-paced and includes opportunities to join a virtual check in with SELPA team members and other pathway participants three times annually. Virtual check ins include opportunities to ask questions, problem solve around implementation and gain new ideas about how to support learners with autism in a variety of settings. After successful completion of all modules within the online course, participants will receive a certificate of completion.
