Brant Horner (Owner) Evyn Horner (Manager, daughter of Brant Horner)

The Cornerstone of West Texas: For more than a century, Holland’s Fine Jewelry has stood as a cornerstone of the West Texas community. Rooted in tradition, built on craftsmanship, and sustained by meaningful relationships, the story of Holland’s is not simply one of business success—it is the story of generations dedicated to excellence, service, and the enduring value of finely made jewelry. The Holland’s legacy officially began in 1918, when Chase Holland, Sr. purchased a jewelry store from Mr. C. C. McBurnett and renamed it “Holland’s Jewelry.” While that marked the start of the Holland name, the store’s roots stretch back even further, with prior ownership tracing to 1891.

The Holland’s Spur Clip: One of the most iconic chapters in Holland’s history began in 1936 with the creation of what would become a signature piece: the Holland’s Spur Clip. Emerging from the hardship of the Great Depression, Chase Holland wanted a way to express gratitude to the friends and supporters who helped him persevere through difficult times. Drawing inspiration from Western tradition, he designed a miniature sterling silver spur tie clasp as a symbol of recognition—a token awarded to those who had “earned their spurs.” The symbolism resonated deeply. in the Western tradition, earning one’s spurs represents proving oneself through hard work, integrity, and perseverance. Holland’s Spur Clip embodied those values, transforming a simple accessory into a powerful statement of appreciation and respect

From the very beginning, Holland’s distinguished itself as more than a typical jewelry store. In addition to traditional jewelry and watches popular in the early 20th century, the store became widely known for its extensive selection of fine silver, china, and crystal— items that graced homes across West Texas and beyond. As the business grew, so did its reputation. Holland’s became a place where customers marked life’s most meaningful moments—engagements, weddings, anniversaries, and milestones that deserved something special. Chase Holland, Sr. believed jewelry should carry meaning, craftsmanship, and story, values that still guide the business today.
