يُسهم إشــــــراك الفنّانين الرواد مع الفنّانين الناشــــــئين، إلى جانب أســــــماء رائدة مثل الراحل حسن شريف، المعروف بإسهاماته التأسيســــــيّة، وفنّانين إماراتيين معاصرين منهــــــم جميري وآلاء إدريس، في إرســــــاء حــــــوار فنّــــــي بيــــــن الأجيال يثــــــري تجربة المعرض، ويُتيح للجمهور تتبّع مسار تطوّر التعبير الإبداعي ضمن السياق الإماراتي. وتتسع هذه المقاربة لتشمل أعمال فنّانين آخرين مقيمين في دولة الإمارات العربية المتحدة، اتخذوها موطنًا لهم منذ سنوات طويلــــــة، بما يعكس التبادل الإبداعي الذي يجمعهم في مكان واحد وتجربة مشتركة. وبهذا، يتحــــــوّل معرض “روافــــــد ورُؤى” إلى وســــــيط يُتيــــــح للفنّانيــــــن التعبير عن خبراتهم الشخصيّة وأدوارهم الاجتماعية،
متطوّر، عبر تشــــــكيل السرديّات وتجسيد الهويّات، وبناء جسور الحوار فيما بينها.” قيمــــة التنــــوّع يرتكــــــز معرض “روافد ورُؤى” في جوهره على استكشــــــاف معمّــــــق لقــــــدرة التعبير الإبداعــــــي على تجاوز الحــــــدود وتفكيك الحواجز، بما يدعو الجمهور إلى التفاعل مع ســــــرديّات ورؤًى متعدّدة. ويضم المعرض، الذي شارك في تنسيقه كل من مايا الخليل أعمال فنّية لســــــبعة 110 وإيونجو كيــــــم، وأربعيــــــن فنّانًا من دولــــــة الإمارات العربية فنّانًــــــا إماراتيًّا، 33 المتحــــــدة، من بينهــــــم ينتمون إلى ثلاثة أجيال أسهمت ممارساتها الفنّية في تشــــــكيل المشهد الثقافي للدولة منذ ثمانينيات القرن الماضي وحتى اليوم.

In partnership with Seoul Muse- um of Art, the exhibition enhances artistic exchange between the UAE and Korea and strengthens the pres- ence of UAE artists on the global stage. It broadens our understanding of the role of the arts in shaping our jour- ney towards a more progressive future through the art of storytelling, the embodiment of identities and the build- ing of meaningful bridges of dialogue.” THE VALUE OF DIVERSITY At the heart of Proximities is a profound exploration of how creative expression can break through boundaries and dismantle barriers, inviting audiences to engage with diverse stories and perspectives. Co-curated by Maya El Khalil and Eunju Kim, the exhibition features 110 works from 47 UAE-based artists, including 33 Emira- ti artists, spanning three generations whose practices have shaped the UAE’s cultural landscape from the 1980s to the present day.

The inclusion of both established and emerging artists – with iconic figures such as the late Hassan Sharif, known for his pioneering contributions, presented alongside contemporary Emirati artists including Ju- mairy and Alaa Edris, enables intergenerational dia- logue that enriches the exhibition, allowing audiences to witness the evolution of creative expression within the Emirati context. Extending this context are works by other UAE-based art- ists who have long called the Emirates home, speaking to the creative exchange that binds them to a shared place. Proximities thus becomes a vehicle through which artists open onto personal experience and social roles, offering a layered view of Emirati culture and the cul- tures that thrive within the UAE. For Korean and inter- national audiences, this shows how individual experi- ences carry meaning across cultures. THE POWER OF COLLABORATION AND SOLIDARITY The curatorial approach of Proximities emphasises col- laboration in its broadest sense, encompassing multi- ple perspectives and practices. By including guest cu- rators and artists’ perspectives, the exhibition encour- ages viewers to engage in a dialogue beyond the visual. Rather than seeking sameness, it values difference as a source of richness and shows how cultures grow, learn and speak to one another. The contributions of guest curators Farah Al Qasimi, Mohammed Kazem and Cristiana de Marchi, and artist trio Ramin Haerizadeh, Rokni Haerizadeh and Hesam Rahmanian [RRH], give depth to this multidimensional approach. Their involvement reveals points of conver- gence across their individual practices and the exhibi- tion sections they helped curate, positioning Proximities

والتجــــــارب الفنيّة المتنوّعــــــة. ومن خلال إشــــــراك الفنّانين الضيــــــوف قيّمين فنّيين، وإتاحة مســــــاحة لوجهات نظرهم، يُشجع المعرض الجمهور على الانخراط في حوار يتجاوز حدود المشــــــاهدة البصرية. وبدل الســــــعي إلى التشــــــابه، يحتفــــــي المعرض بالاختلاف باعتباره مصدرًا للثراء، ويُبيّن كيف تنمو الثقافات وتتعلّم وتتخاطب فيما بينها عبر هــــــذا التفاعل المتبادل. وتُضفي إســــــهامات فرح القاســــــمي، ومحمد كاظم،
