يتيح للقراء حول العالم الاطاع على نماذج من أعمال أدبية عربيـــــة متميزة، تولي أهميـــــة خاصة لجودة الترجمة ودقتها، وتضمـــــن نقـــــل الآداب بأصالتها وتعدّد أصواتها، وتســـــهم في تقديم صورة أكثر واقعية وتنوعًا عن العالم العربي في سياق الوعي العالمي، بما يعزّز الحوار والتاقي بين الشعوب.” وتابـــــع: “تمثّـــــل المبـــــادرة منصّة تمثيلية قويـــــة تفتح قنوات جديـــــدة أمـــــام المجتمع الدولي للنشـــــر، وتتيـــــح الوصول إلى أسواق عالمية جديدة، تكريسًا لبناء جسور مستدامة للحوار الثقافـــــي وتعزيز التفاهم المتبادل مع مختلف الثقافات حول العالـــــم، بما يبرز قيمـــــة الإنتاج العربي الأدبـــــي والفكري على الساحة الدولية.” وعن معوقات الترجمة، أشار سعادته: “ثمة معوقات لغوية تشـــــــمل مفردات اللغة والمعجم والقواعد والباغة والصور الشعرية وبناء الجمل واختافات النص، والعبارات العربية التي لا يقابلها مـــــــا يماثلها في بعض اللغـــــــات، إلى جانب معوقات ثقافية تتصـــــــل بالمجتمعات والبيئـــــــات، وأخرى خاصة بمؤسسات الترجمة، تحول دون تمكّنها من مواكبة الحداثة والطفـــــــرات العلمية والتقنيـــــــة الهائلة التي عرفها العالم، كمـــــــا تواجه تحديات في الرقمنـــــــة وتحويل المواد المرئية والمســـــــموعة والمقروءة إلـــــــى صيغ رقمية صالحة للتداول على الأجهزة الرقمية والإنترنت.” وعـــــن تذليل تلك المعوقات، قال ســـــعادته: “تتطلب عمليات الترجمـــــة في عصرنا الحديث تنمية المحتوى العربي الرقمي، الـــــذي يحتـــــاج إلـــــى أدوات معلوماتية أساســـــية تعتمد على حوســـــبة اللغة العربية وتحليلها بشـــــكل عملـــــي دقيق، وعلى
تطبيقات وبرامج ومحركات بحث ومعاجم إلكترونية وبنوك مصطلحات، بما يســـــتدعي استقطاب خبرات تقنية وكفاءات في الترجمـــــة المتخصصة، وإطاق اتفاقيات تعاون، وتوفير حقوق النشر، وحماية الملكية الفكرية.” 2025 ولفت سعادته إلى أن مشروع كلمة أبرم خال عام ناشرًا، أسهمت في 18 اتفاقيات حقوق ترجمة ونشـــــــر مع تعزيز واســـــــتدامة عاقاته الاســـــــتراتيجية مع دور النشر العالمية، ومنها: متحف التاريخ الطبيعي البريطاني، وتيمز آند هادسون، ومطابع نشر جامعتي أكسفورد وإدنبرة. ومن أبـــــــرز العناوين التي حصل على حقوقهـــــــا كتاب “كل كائن حي” لجيســـــــون روبرتس، الفائز بجائـــــــزة بولتزر عن فئة السيرة الذاتية. وبما يتعلّق بجهود التحول الرقمي لمشروع كلمة، قال سعادته: ، جل اهتمامه 2018 “أولـــــى المركز مشـــــروع كلمة، منذ العـــــام لمواكبة التطور التقني الحديث، وإرساء ثقافة القراءة بكافة الوسائل التي تتيح لأبناء المجتمع ممارستها، سواء من خال الكتاب الإلكتروني أو عبر الكتاب الورقي، لضمان ســـــير اللغة العربية في الطريق الصحيح للتعامل مع هذا التطور الرقمي. مادة رقمية متنوّعة، بين كتب 2000 وقـــــد تـــــم إنتاج أكثر من 5000 إلكترونية وأثير الكتب ووجيز الكتب، ونطمح إلى إنتاج . وقد حققت هذه الجهود نتائج رائعة 2030 مادة بحلول عام ومشـــــجعة، لمســـــنا صداها في العديد من الفعاليات الثقافية، ، من خال 2025 بخاصـــــة في معرض أبوظبي الدولي للكتاب استحســـــان نخبة من كبـــــار الاختصاصيين التقنيين وأقطاب
of the Arab World within the global consciousness, while fostering dialogue and meaningful connections across cultures.” He continued: “The initiative serves as a dynamic platform for international pub- lishing, opening new pathways to global markets while helping build sustainable bridges for cultural dialogue and mutual understanding across cultures. In doing so, it brings the value of Arab literary and intellectual production into sharper focus on the international stage.” On the challenges of translation, he noted:“Translation faces a range of linguistic challenges, from vocabulary, grammar, and rhetoric to poetic imagery, sentence structure, and textual nuance, as well as Arabic expressions that have no direct equivalents in other languages. Cultural challenges across societies and contexts add another layer of complexity, alongside institutional constraints that can limit the ability of translation bodies to keep pace with rapid scientific and technological advances shaping the world. These challenges are further compounded by the demands of digital transforma- tion, particularly when it comes to converting visual, audio, and written materials into formats that can be effectively shared across devices and digital platforms.” Addressing these challenges, he said: “In today’s context, translation also re- quires the development of robust Arabic digital content, supported by essential technological tools capable of processing and analysing the Arabic language with precision. This includes the use of applications, specialised programmes, search engines, electronic dictionaries, and terminology databases. Such efforts also call for attracting technical expertise and specialised translators, while strengthening partnerships, securing publishing rights, and safeguarding intellectual property.” He noted that in 2025, the Kalima Project concluded translation and publishing rights agreements with 18 publishers, further strengthening its strategic relation- ships with leading international publishing houses, including the Natural History Museum in the United Kingdom, Thames & Hudson, and the presses of the Uni-
