RUSSELL l The Russell Agricultural Society hosted three events on Saturday, July 13, including professional rodeo competi- tion from Rawhide Rodeo in the evening, which was followed by an outdoor dance. Rawhide Rodeo is an American profes- sional circuit rodeo company accredited by the IPRA and PRCA. It is also the producer of the Ontario High School Rodeo association and does shows all over rural Ontario in the summer and fall. The rodeo was well attended on the hot evening, and several good rides on bulls,

broncs and saddle- broncs, as well as fast barrel-racing times rewarded the capacity crowd. Local cowboy Shawn Fisher com- peted but didn’t make his eight- second ride. Besides riding the Fisher family of Russell also raises bucking stock, some of which were part of the show. The event also in- cluded Wild Cow Milking, which sev- eral local teams en- tered.
