SUTHERLAND continued people who when they graduate will be able to teach others also. It is our conviction that education alone is not the savior of our civilization or of mankind. If you educate a fool, you have nothing but an educated fool. Education will not change the heart of an individual. Therefore the chief purpose of this school is, and must continue to be, to train young people in the Word of God and in the things of the Spirit, in order that they might be sent out around the world where, in many instances, the Word of God has never before been proclaimed, and that they might sow the seed of the glorious gospel mes sage in the hearts of those with whom they come in contact. The Holy Spirit then will cause that seed to spring forth into eternal life and through them into the lives of others who will be able to teach yet others. Furthermore, we expect, under God, to emphasize and enlarge our radio ministry, our training of full time Christian leaders, our dissemi nation of evangelical literature and our stress on an adequate missionary training in view of the stepped-up demands of foreign governments, and the pressing need to train national leaders in those lands before the door to missions is closed to us. Ours is a glorious task; ours is a tremendous responsibility. In our own strength we could never realize these goals or these ambitions. But thank God, we do not need to move ahead in our own strength. We have One who dwells within and One who in fills us as we yield ourselves to His leading; One who guides and directs us in the course we should follow. This school has had a remarkable past, but we do not believe that the future of the Bible Institute lies in its past. Instead we are looking ahead to even greater days of useful ness and blessing on the part of the Bible Institute serving this generation in which we live. And we are ex pecting that in the years to come, if the Lord tarries, there will be yet others raised up by the Holy Spirit to lead this great institution to heights of usefulness of which we ourselves have not yet dreamed. In fact we shall be disappointed if such is not the case. And so we pay honor to those who have gone before, and at the same time we here and now rededicate ourselves to the task which the Lord has laid upon us. We are confident that He will lead onward and up ward to victories that will redound to His honor and glory and that will count for time and all eternity.
