The book contains, 185 pages of short stories, some of which are from nature and some from fables. No lessons are drawn nor applications made to right liv­ ing, but in the introduction we are told that, “goodness is taught without preach­ ing” and that “the child is b r o u g . h t thoughts and stories about the beauty and wonder of flowers and stars and children and angels as no- questions or lessons could do.” Anyone in need of stories to tell chil­ dren willfind here a good selection, but remember they are not Bible stories.
