TRASH AND TREASURES WEEKEND IN VANKLEEK HILL Blue-sky weather made the first Saturday of June a perfect day to go garage-saling around the neighbour- hoods of Vankleek Hill, in search of bargains on Trash ‘n’ Treasure Day. Traffic along Main Street in the village had to go a bit slower than usual as motorists gave the right-of-way to pedestrians, both young and old, as they wandered the side- walks up one side of the street and down the other, with the occasional crossover, to browse the tables set up to display toys, books, tools, clothing, household items, appliances, jewelry, home exercise gear, novelty items and more, all in good if used condition, and all for sale.
