At Glengarriff Forest Therapy we invite visitors to slow down, reconnect with nature and experience the tranquillity of one of Ireland’s last remaining ancient oak forests. Guided forest‑bathing walks introduce the Japanese practice of Shinrin‑yoku through a series of gentle sensory “invitations” that encourage presence, calm and deeper awareness of the woodland’s sounds, scents and textures. Each restorative session concludes with a tea ceremony featuring foraged plants and light snacks, grounding the experience in the forest’s natural rhythms. Guests also learn simple techniques that they can use daily to cultivate balance, mindfulness and wellbeing through nature.
