My Mexican ancestors as well as the dichotomy of a new way of life my hard-working migrant parents introduced to me, have opened opportunities to join the efforts of understanding and joining a community of artistic endeavors. This is essential to the common welfare and prosperity of the world stage of fundamental rights without distinction as to race , nationality, creed, or sex. Aesthetically, art has the strength and grace to unite cultural and spiritual values.

Paintings are created from confronting one’s internal mirror and its reflection of the external landscape. The contrast of these concepts relates to people who have no other outlet. Empowerment is born when one faces the darkest, more secretive parts of their soul. In my case, the painting process is a personal exploration of the psychological, metaphorical, and spiritual aspects of my life’s journey. Stories are conveyed through a transparent, yet visual, vibrant language. By tapping into my instincts and becoming one with the subject matter, I seek to provide a voice and entry point into my experiences. Everyone has stories to tell, and I am no different.

The creative process is exploratory and surprising, the instinct for all art forms. It embraces that instinct of inspiration and transforms it into a craft. Along the way, I observe the craft of paintings and its narratives where I develop a democracy of inclusiveness, coopera- tion, and a dialogue of security of human rights. Included in these pillars of the human condition and common good, are the tools to responsibly merge political and cultural awareness.

This collection inspired by the work of Mirza Ali of the Safavid Golden Age, (16th Century). An image that marks the beginning of my career as an artist at the age of nine. I learned painting by drawing this and other images in the similar style. The idea of executing this series 40 ,,, came to me when I revisited my old neighbourhood after ... years, and saw that our house and the room I was born in and held all my childhood memories, were all bulldozed and reduced to dirt, clay, and old broken bricks. Only a piece of the wall was still standing there, to revive my childhood memories of beautiful gypsum flowers. This house was in one of the city’s oldest neigh- bourhoods, precisely behind one of the magnificent architectural masterpieces of the Safavid dynasty. From that serene, charming neighbourhood with winding alleys that brought everyone closer together, only the trunk of a dead tree was left, and nothing more. Dedicated to all daring women who continually scratch the walls.

Finally , the third evolution of the Iranian Miniatures occurred through the Safavid era. In that era, Isfahan became the capital of Iran, and the capital of Miniature Art as well. Many palaces, mosques, schools and bridges were built. Moreover artists from across the country gathered in Isfahan after the renaissance in Europe, political and cultural relationships between Iran and Europe where developed. Consequently painting came out of the many folds of books…However, on the first steps towards the independence, it served to decorate places, mosques and other architectural buildings. Eventually, impressed by European art,

In this series, for which Sabouki won an Arte Laguna Prize in 2017, he deconstructs the very definition of portraiture by doing away with faces entirely. This also repre-sents the culmination of his career long interest in exploring the expressive power of human hands. The subjects are entirely shrouded except for their arms and hands. And yet, quite unexpectedly, the viewers find themselves making instantaneous emotional connections with these mysteriously veiled figures. The absence of what we hold as paramount in human communication, the face, allows us to sink even more deeply into the intricacies of the only exposed part of the subject’s, the arms and the hands. Instead of being drawn to wrinkles on the forehead or dimples on the subject’s cheeks, one can only gauge the subject by the contrast of their arms and hands set against the veil that masks what we are used to looking at. It is a piece of a series called ‘The Children of Adam’. This series is the images of “suffering” that affects human beings in every geogra- phy. An issue that has always occupied Sabouki’s mind; Suffering and overcoming the need to be aware, to know the path and to find the existential connection of human beings to each other. The characters in this series were all born in Iran and their families have migrated to Iran from Afghanistan in the past. The situation of these immigrants in Iran has been associated with many difficulties. But their new generation is entering different artistic and pro- fessional scenes, creating different conditions for themselves. This generation may still follow a framework of their own thoughts or traditions, but this framework is not as rigid as the past; Just as we see in the photos. Eyes that have never been seen now see and are direct observers of the world. Artist:Ali Sabouki

The name “Symbolic theft” is a medical term that means theft of kleptomaniacs, when they, in order to make up for the lack of love, steal things that they do not really need. I don’t know what my bird lost, maybe chicks. Judging by the fact that the nest is full with expensive shoes, such branded items as Giuseppe Zanotti, Jimmy Choo, Phillip Lin, Gucci and Valentino, it is clear that she lost something very valuable.

Artist Katarzyna Pander-Liszka (born in 1970, Zabrze, Poland) interior designer, collagist, painter. When describing her artistic approach, Katarzyna declares that through her art, she wants to reach the observer’s emotions and to share the inflow of creative energy she feels herself when transferring her inspiration onto the canvas. It is the very technique, as a means of expression, that inspires me the most – she says. Painting with resin epoxy, a demanding material that puts constraints on the artistic vision, requires a planned approach to every project to satisfy the artist’s creativity. I am fascinated with the interdependency.

The story of this painting represents the long years of the war in Syria. This war, which has destroyed a beautiful country and has made it a marsh, has also ruined almost all hope for a future worthy of its innocent children. I could not find colors other than the black and red to express this human tragedy - forced emigration, massive psychological harm, and the destruction of the Syrian families. The child, and the violin as a sensitive musical instrument, always have an impact on my imagination as senses of hope of the end of the war. artist, I know that music and art remain higher than the whistling of bullets.

Time always had a serious standpoint in art as a subject of philosophical and scientific discussions. My view of today and present mo- ment emanates from far future. A place in which the human being of next thousand years see us identical to our not much remote past. My concern always was to create a work of art by application of the potentials of pop- art, taking the advantage of the cultural identity, which properly carried out a crucial role to the cultivation and introduction of Iranian culture. In this collection, on which I worked since 2016, I always attempted to maintain this task. >>>> Artist: Hemad Javadzade, who was born in 1984, lives in Istanbul currently. When I left home, I felt a piece of me staying behind. A piece of me replaced by what can only be a piece of you, A piece of my land, a piece of every place I have ever seen, A piece of where I broke down into tears, where I first found love, A piece of where I was born and where I have been . There is no doubt we each have our own pieces, Aworld made of blocks, and our body holds all, all tears, all laughter, and all the pains, all the things that make us who we are .
