Lions and Cougars tear into each other

Cougars did not get on the board until the final round of the match. Scoring for the Cougars in third period were Nikolas Ayotte and Riley Sauvé. Goal assists in the game came fromTyler Dopel- hamer, Kevin Doyle, Charles Doyon, and Brenden Rowe. Sébastien Moreau and Do- minik Turcotte shared goalie duties. Scoring for Morrisburg were Brian Lan- dry, Zacharie Leblanc and Alec St-Gelais with singles and Anthony Pace for a hat trick. Goal assists came from Landry, Leblanc, St-Gelais, EvanMantha,Thomas Ouderkirk, and Jordan Smail. Justin Lalonde guarded the Morrisburg net. The Cougars are inMetcalfe Nov. 3 against the Jets, then Chesterville the following day against the North Dundas Rockets, and home on Remembrance Day evening to host the Blackburn Inferno.
The Lions and the Cougars tore into each other in the Vankleek Hill Arena over the weekend before Halloween.The end result proved a treat for the visiting Morrisburg team. The Morrisburg Lions beat the Vankleek Hill Cougars 6-2 in their Oct. 28 evening game on the National Capital Junior Hockey League schedule.
