This complimentary program is San Antonio's way of extending a warmwelcome! Use your lunch tickets and come on down to the Exhibit Hall for a hot buffet lunch. Lunch tickets will be provided to all registered professional attendees for Friday and Saturday. The SWVS lunch tickets can also be used for a buffet lunch during the Exhibitor Satellite Concessions will be open from 9:30 AM - 1:30 PM in the Exhibit Hall (cash and credit only). GETTING AROUND SAN ANTONIO The San Antonio International Airport is approximately 8.5 miles from the downtown business district, with a travel time of approximately 15 minutes by car. More than 400+ hours of quality continuing education courses are offered at SWVS 2019. A maximum of 29 credit hours are available during the general symposium. Additional credit hours are available. Please check with your state veterinary medical licensing board for specific continuing education allowances and requirements. See page 17 for complete details. SWVS is owned by five partner state VMAs, each of which is an affiliate of the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA). These state veterinary medical examboards accept/ approve SWVS for CE credit. Registrants fromother states should check with their state Board of Veterinary Medical Examiners regarding approval of SWVS CE credit. Amaximumof 29 CE credit hours are available for the SWVS General Symposium. Additional credit hours are available as listed below. In addition, DVMs licensed in Arkansas, NewMexico, Oklahoma or Texas may claim2 hours of CE for visiting the SWVS Exhibit Hall. Please check with your state Veterinary Medical Licensing Board for specific CE allowances and requirements. It is the individual’s responsibility to maintain and submit CE records as required. Attendees are encouraged to consult their state licensing board for specific allowances and any restrictions on the number of hours accepted for specialty and nonscience sessions (practicemanagement). The Alabama State Board of Veterinary Medical Examiners has approved 20+ CE hours for DVMs and LVTs. The Practice Management/Office Personnel classes were reviewed and approved by the VHMA program for 37 hours of continuing education in jurisdictions that recognize VHMA approval. Please contact the VHMA program if you have any comments/concerns regarding this program’s validity or relevancy to the veterinary profession. Some Equine classes have been approved for 9 American Association of Professional Farriers (AAPF) Continuing Education Credits. CHECK IN – Upon arrival at the Henry B. González Convention Center, check in at the registration area, where your badge will be scanned to verify your attendance. TRACK YOUR ATTENDANCE – Use the CE Checklist provided in your bag to record your presence at each session you attend. PICK UP A CERTIFICATE OF COMPLETION – At the conclusion of the symposium, stop by the CE desk in the registration area to obtain your Certificate of Completion. Keep the certificate, along with the CE Checklist, in your files. Certificates will be available on Sunday at the close of the symposium.
