POLTRONA DI PROUST MONUMENTALE Alessandro Mendini

The Bisazza Foundation is an exhibition space inaugurated in June 2012 in Montecchio Maggiore, Vicenza. This unique place, which extends over 7500 square meters, represents a fusion of architecture, design, and photography. The architectural project was curated by Carlo Dal Bianco, who transformed a former industrial area into a welcoming and fascinating exhibition space for visitors. This surprising metamorphosis reflects the bold entrepreneurial gamble that has characterized Bisazza’s history since the early 1950s. The glass mosaic production company, founded in 1956 by Renato Bisazza, would over time become one of the most important Italian brands in the luxury and design sector. From the collaboration with internationally renowned artists and designers, a creative dialogue on mosaic and its possible applications was born. The Bisazza Foundation now hosts a permanent collection that includes works and installations by authors who have contributed to shaping the history of contemporary design. The exhibited works range from site-specific installations to iconic reinterpretations: this spectacular artistic panorama includes works by well-known architects, designers and artists such as Tord Boontje, Aldo Cibic, Sandro Chia, Araki, Jaime Hayon, Arik Levy, Alessandro Mendini, Fabio Novembre, Mimmo Paladino, John Pawson, Andrée Putman, Ettore Sottsass, Studio Job, Patricia Urquiola, AMDL Circle, Emilio Pucci, Daniel Arsham e Marcel Wanders.

La Fondazione Bisazza è uno spazio espositivo inaugurato nel giugno 2012 a Montecchio Maggiore, in provincia di Vicenza. Questo luogo unico, che si estende su 7.500 metri quadrati, rappresenta una fusione di architettura, design e fotografia.

Il progetto architettonico è stato curato da Carlo Dal Bianco, che ha trasformato una ex area industriale in uno spazio espositivo accogliente e affascinante per i visitatori.

Questa sorprendente metamorfosi riflette l’audace scommessa imprenditoriale che ha caratterizzato la storia di Bisazza fin dai primi anni ’50. L’azienda produttrice di mosaici in vetro, fondata nel 1956 da Renato Bisazza, è diventata nel tempo uno dei marchi italiani più importanti nel settore del lusso e del design. Dalla collaborazione con artisti e designer di fama internazionale è nato un dialogo creativo sul mosaico e sulle sue possibili applicazioni. La Fondazione Bisazza ospita oggi una collezione permanente che comprende opere e installazioni di autori che hanno contribuito a definire la storia del design contemporaneo. Vetricolor is crafted from molten glass and fine French sand, resulting in a refined and natural texture. Ideal for walls, light-traffic floors, outdoor areas, and pools. Also available in the Matt version: the matte finish gives it a contemporary look and enhances slip resistance. Size: 20×20 mm, 10×10 mm. Vetricolor nasce dalla colata di vetro fuso e finissima sabbia francese, che crea un aspetto naturale e raffinato. Ideale per pareti, pavimenti a traffico leggero, esterni e piscine. Disponibile anche in versione Matt: la finitura opaca delle tessere dona un aspetto contemporaneo e migliora la resistenza allo scivolamento. Formato: 20×20 mm, 10×10 mm.

Flow is produced like Vetricolor, but stands out for its three-dimensional, wavy surface, evoking the movement of water. Perfect for walls, light-traffic floors, outdoor areas, and pools. Also available in the Matt version: the matte finish enhances the surface and increases slip resistance. Size: 20×20 mm. Canvas uses coloured powders that create irregular speckling and a texture reminiscent of woven fabric. Ideal for walls, light traffic floors, outdoor areas, and pools. In the Matt version, the matte surface enhances the material quality and improves slip resistance. Canvas Matt is not suitable for humid environments, pools, or areas with high thermal shock. Size: 20×20 mm. Canvas utilizza polveri colorate che creano una puntinatura irregolare e un effetto simile alla trama tessile. Ideale per pareti, pavimenti a traffico leggero, esterni e piscine. Opus Romano is a durable sintered-glass mosaic made with up to 79% recycled glass, characterized by rounded edges and rich, full tones. Ideal for medium-traffic floors, walls, outdoor areas, and pools. Due to its slip-resistant properties, Opus Romano Matt is ideal for medium-traffic floors in indoor, outdoor, and humid environments, such as poolside areas or spas. Size: 12×12 mm. Opus Romano è un mosaico di vetro sinterizzato resistente, prodotto con vetro riciclato fino al 79%, caratterizzato da spigoli arrotondati e tonalità piene. Ideale per pavimenti a medio traffico, pareti, esterni e piscine.
