The total cost of the refurbishment of the premises to date is $818,341 and the Town Hall was doubled in size. Le canton d’Alfred-Plantagenet a tenu sa journée portes ouvertes à ses locaux administratifs pour souligner la finalisa- tion des travaux d’agrandissement des locaux, le jeudi 28 juin. Les travaux d’agrandissement des locaux ont commencé en septembre 2017 et les touches finales ont été apportées en juin 2018. Le coût total de la réfection des locaux, à ce jour, est de 818 341 $. L’agrandissement visait à réunir une grande partie des départements de la Municipalité et d’unir les locaux des administrations d’Alfred et de Plantagenet sous un même toit. Les travaux ont doublé la superficie du bâtiment pour les 15 employés de la municipalité. « Le personnel municipal peut adresser vos demandes de façon complète et vous n’avez qu’un seul bureau à contacter pour tout renseignement », a déclaré le maire d’Alfred-Plantagenet Fernand Dicaire. Le public s’est rassemblé en grand nombre pour visiter les nouveaux locaux de leur municipalité. Le maire, les conseillers et les employés ont donné des visites guidées aux gens de la communauté. La municipalité a aussi fait un appel aux artistes locaux d’exposer leurs œuvres pour l’évènement, alors plusieurs œuvres ont été affichées partout dans l’hôtel de ville. « Nous avons déjà constaté une amélio- ration du flux de travail et une augmentation de la communication interne et de la colla- boration entre les différents départements, a déclaré M. Dicaire. « Ces nouveaux locaux, se sont vos locaux. » Le maire a aussi pris le temps de présen- ter la nouvelle agente de communications de la municipalité. Il s’agit d’Agata Michalska. GLOWING REPORT FOR PR RESIDENCE The Prescott-Russell Residence re- ceived its official accreditation approval and a glowing report from the federal government’s certification program for senior and long-term care facilities. Accreditation Canada’s report stated that the regional senior and long-term care facility received confirmation of its accreditation status with “Accredited Honours” status, the highest
