Charting Our Future: Working together to guide Gloucester towards its 400th year.

Gloucester’s Planning, Zoning, and Environmental Programs team recently connected with residents and visitors at the Daffodil Festival as part of the County’s Comprehensive Plan update. They asked a simple but important question: What do you love about Gloucester, and what concerns you about its future? Everyone who participated was entered into a raffle for a gift basket, and our very own Lt. Jason Klink (pictured to the right) was the winner. Congratulations, Lt. Klink! The Comprehensive Plan serves as a roadmap for the next 20 years, guiding decisions about growth, land use, transportation, housing, natural resources, and other factors that shape our community’s quality of life and cost of living.

We are currently in the first phase of the update: listening. Below is a snapshot of what we heard. Do you agree?

There will be many more opportunities to get involved in the months ahead, including focus groups, surveys, listening sessions, committees, and more.

Your voice matters. Help shape Gloucester’s next chapter.
