وخلال هذه الرحلة، تتبدّل المشــــــاهد أمام المســــــافر كأنها فصول متعاقبة. فمن بريق الأبراج الزجاجية التي ترســــــم أفق المدن، إلى المتداد الرحب للصحراء، وصول إلى السفوح الوعرة لجبال الحجر، تتكشف أمام الناظر ملامح الإمارات في تنوعها الغني. قطارات الاتحاد – أبرز مواصفات الشبكة المؤشر قدرات الشبكة وأثرها السرعة التشغيلية القصوى كيلومتر/الساعة 200 الطاقة الستيعابية للقطار راكب في القطار الواحد (ضمن 400 حتى قطارًا) 13 أسطول يضم إجمالي المحطات المخطط لها مدينة ومركزًا رئيسًا 11 ًزمن الرحلة بين أبوظبي ودبي دقيقة 57 الأثر القتصادي المتوقع عامًا 50 مليار درهم على مدى 145 الخفض السنوي المتوقع في انبعاثات ثاني أكسيد الكربون مليون طن 8.2 العدد السنوي المتوقع للركاب 2030 مليون راكب بحلول عام 36 ويُمهّد هذا الربط السلس لعصر جديد من التنقل العفوي بين إمارات الدولة، لتستعيد الفجيرة مكانتها وجهة مفضلة لعطلات نهاية الأســــــبوع. ولم تعد الرحلات إلى شــــــواطئها، أو مســــــالك جبالها، أو حتى لقاءات المساء فيها، رهينة حسابات الطريق الطويل أو مشقة رحلة العودة. من الساحل إلى الساحل ما انطلق اليوم بين أبوظبي والفجيرة ليس سوى الفصل الأول من خطة توسع طموحة. فقد أكدت شــــــركة قطارات التحاد أن شــــــبكة قطارات الركاب ستربط، عند اكتمالها، إحدى عشرة مدينة ومركزًا حيويًا ضمن منظومة وطنية متكاملة. وإذا كانت أبوظبي تمثل نقطة النطلاق، فإن عشر محطات جديدة ستعيد قريبًا رسم خريطة التنقل في الدولة، من خلال ربط دبي، والشارقة، ومنطقة الظفرة، والساحل الشرقي، بشبكة واحــــــدة. ولــــــن تُفتتح هذه المحطات دفعة واحدة، بل ســــــتدخل الخدمة تباعًا خلال الأشــــــهر المقبلة، بما يتيح للمجتمعات أن تجعل القطار جزءًا طبيعيًا من إيقاع حياتها اليومية. وتمتــــــد هذه الشــــــبكة عبر الدولة، من أطراف الصحراء في الســــــلع إلى الســــــواحل الصخرية للفجيــــــرة. ومن خلال ربط البلدات الزراعية الداخليــــــة، والمراكز الصناعية الكبرى، والأحياء
SPEED AND COMFORT At the heart of this transport revolution is a fleet of 13 high-tech passenger trains. Capable of traveling at speeds up to 200 km/h, each train carries up to 400 pas- sengers. Inside, the environment is intentionally de- signed for premium intercity transit rather than short- hop commuting. “For commuters, we know that reliability is everything,” explains Azza Al Suwaidi, Deputy CEO of Etihad Rail Mobility. “Etihad Rail will offer a journey people can plan around. One that gives them useful and usable time back, rather than taking it away.” For the modern corporate traveller, the train functions as a mobile executive suite. Onboard Wi-Fi, power outlets at every seat, and spacious, ergonomic interiors allow pas- sengers to answer emails, prepare presentations, or con- duct virtual briefings while moving between major eco- nomic nodes. The destination terminals echo this commitment to lux- ury. The newly opened Fujairah Station, spanning 51,900 square meters in Madinat Al Hilal, features waiting lounges, automated payment kiosks, and high-speed connectivity. Moving forward, these stations will evolve into vibrant lifestyle hubs packed with upscale cafés, re- tail spaces, and shopping experiences. SOLVING THE LAST MILE A recurring critique of national rail operations globally is the “last-mile” dilemma - the challenge of how a pas- senger actually gets from the train platform to their final destination. Etihad Rail has pre-emptively neutralised this hurdle by treating the rail network as the spine of an interconnected, multimodal transit system.

“For Etihad Rail, the journey doesn’t just start and end with the train,” Adhraa Almansoori, Executive Director of Commercial at Etihad Rail Mobility, told Gulf News . “We’ve carefully planned how passengers will reach our stations, whether through shuttle buses, existing public bus networks, taxis, or e-hailing services.” Every station on the railway has been mapped to inter- face with its respective emirate’s public transit grid. For instance, the Dubai hub at Jumeirah Golf Estates and Meydan is confirmed to intersect with Dubai’s upcoming Metro Gold Line. Similarly, the Fujairah Terminal is situ- ated just 12 minutes from Fujairah International Airport, six minutes from the Umbrella Beach Corniche, and five minutes from the historic Sakamkam Fort. AN ECONOMIC METAMORPHOSIS While the passenger experience dominates headlines, Etihad Rail is essentially a commercial engine transform- ing the country’s federal structure into a single, fluid mega-economy.
