Across publishing, education, heritage and investment, Sheikha Budour’s work bridges literary culture with institutional leadership, underlining Sharjah’s position in regional and global cultural discourse and carrying forward the legacy of her father. His Excellency Sheikh Fahim bin Sultan bin Khalid Al Qasimi Executive Chairman, Department of Government Relations, Member, Sharjah Executive Council HE Sheikh Fahim bin Sultan bin Khalid Al Qasimi represents a new gener- ation of leadership within Sharjah’s governance framework. As Executive Chairman of the Department of Government Relations, he oversees inter- national cooperation and strategic partnerships, positioning the emirate within global diplomatic, cultural and economic conversations. His role requires agility and the ability to navigate dialogue across governments, institutions and sectors with clarity and confidence. Fluent across cultures and comfortable within international forums, he brings a contemporary sensibility to his role, understanding that ef- fective diplomacy today depends as much on relationship-building as formal protocol. Alongside his institutional responsibilities, Sheikh Fahim is publicly associated with environmental advocacy, particularly in marine conser- vation. A committed freediver, his engagement with the sea has trans- lated into active support for turtle rehabilitation and coastal preservation initiatives, linking ecological responsibility with public awareness and youth engagement. He has also participated in initiatives supporting digital transformation within Sharjah’s governance structure, reflecting an understanding that innovation and sustainability must operate in parallel. Sheikh Fahim has a leadership style that is outward-facing, environmen- tally conscious and technologically aware, reinforcing Sharjah’s global connectivity while remaining attentive to long-term guardianship of the land, something that runs throughout the Al Qasimi family.

الشيخة بدور بنت سلطان القاسمي رئيســــــة مجلس إدارة هيئة الشارقة للاســــــتثمار والتطوير (شروق)؛ رئيســــــة الجامعة الأميركية في الشــــــارقة؛ مؤسِّسة ورئيسة مؤسَّسة كلمات؛ سفيرة اليونسكو للنوايا الحسنة للتعليم وثقافة الكتاب تعد الشــــــيخة بدور بنت ســــــلطان القاسمي إحدى الشــــــخصيات البارزة في دعم صناعة النشــــــر وتعزيــــــز ثقافة القراءة والتنميــــــة الثقافية في الشارقة وخارجها. وقد أسست سموها “مؤسَّسة كلمات”، وهي دار نشر متخصصة في الأدب العربي الموجّه للأطفال، واليافعين، والبالغين، قبل أن توسّع حضورها دوليًا عبر شراكات استراتيجية متنوعة وإطلاق دور نشر متعددة. ومن خلال “مؤسَّسة كلمات”، رعت سموها مبادرات نوعية تهدف إلى تيســــــير الوصول إلى الكتب ومــــــواد القراءة في المجتمعات النامية والأقل حظا حول العالم. ويمتد حضورها المؤثر إلى قطاع النشــــــر العالمي، حيث شــــــغلت منصب رئيسة الاتحاد الدولي للناشرين، لتكون أول شخصية عربية تتولى هذا المنصب، وإحدى قلائل النســــــاء اللواتي وصلن إلــــــى مرتبة قيادية في ، عُيّنت ســــــفيرة لليونســــــكو للنوايا الحسنة 2025 هذا القطاع. وفي عام للتعليــــــم وثقافــــــة الكتاب، تقديــــــرًا لجهودها المســــــتمرة في تعزيز محو الأمية، وتوســــــيع فرص الوصول إلى التعليــــــم، وتفعيل التبادل الثقافي على المستوى الدولي. ، 2025 كما تُعرف الشــــــيخة بدور القاســــــمي ككاتبة ومؤلفــــــة. ففي عام أصــــــدرت كتاب “أخبروهم أنهــــــا هنا: بحثًا عن ملكة مليحة”، الذي يمزج بين التأملات الشخصية والاســــــتقصاء التاريخي، وجرى إطلاقه ضمن فعاليات معرض الشارقة الدولي للكتاب في العام نفسه. وفــــــي إطــــــار أدوارها الحكومية والتنموية، تترأس الشــــــيخة بدور هيئة الشارقة للاستثمار والتطوير (شروق)، حيث تشمل مسؤولياتها الإشراف على مشاريع السياحة الثقافية، والحفاظ على التراث، ودعم المبادرات الاقتصادية الاســــــتراتيجية. كما تتولى رئاســــــة الجامعة الأميركية في الشــــــارقة، وتعمــــــل على مواءمــــــة برامج التعليم العالــــــي مع احتياجات المجتمع ومتطلبات سوق العمل المتغيرة.

She founded Kalimat Group, a publishing house focused on Arabic literature for children, young adults and adults, extending its reach internationally through partnerships and multi-imprint publish- ing. Through the Kalimat Foundation, she has supported initiatives that expand access to books and reading materials in disadvantaged commu- nities around the world. Her involvement in the global publishing sector includes serving as Pres- ident of the International Publishers Association [IPA], a first for an Arab and one of few women to hold the position. In 2025 she was appointed UNESCO Goodwill Ambassador for Education and Book Culture, recog- nising her efforts to promote literacy, educational access and cultural exchange internationally. Sheikha Bodour is also an author. In 2025, she published Let Them Know She Is Here: Searching for the Queen of Mleiha , a work that fuses personal reflection with historical inquiry and which was launched at the Sharjah Interna- tional Book Fair in 2025. In her governmental and development roles, she chairs Sharjah Invest- ment and Development Authority [Shurooq], where her responsibili- ties include cultural tourism, heritage conservation and strategic eco- nomic initiatives. She also leads the American University of Sharjah, aligning higher education programmes with broader community and workforce priorities. Her cultural projects include founding Tanweer, a festival dedicated to music, craft and art that explores themes of heritage and creativity, and
