Waste Management
Industrial symbiosis
Effective waste management plays a crucial role: it facilitates industrial symbiosis, creating a circular system in which one company's waste becomes another company's raw material. Through collaborative efforts and innovative solutions, industrial symbiosis fosters a closed- loop system where materials circulate within the economy, reducing the need for virgin resources and minimising waste generation. Many industries often end up with non- conforming materials or hazardous waste that can be reused differently to optimise resource use. Sofap has collaborated with a few companies who reused some of this waste as secondary raw materials.
