HEALTH & SAFETY UPDATE Here at Errigal, the safety of our workforce and all site personnel is the number one priority. We always aim to achieve the highest levels of Health and Safety on all our sites and the message ‘safety first’ is instilled across the whole company. We continue to achieve the highest results in accreditations such as Achilles, Constructionline, Safe-T Cert, SMAS and CHAS. Our safety team continues to grow and has doubled in size over the last year and now boasts Chartered and GradIOSH members. “We understand safety is a deeply personal issue, one that reaches beyond our sites to impact families and individuals. We are continuing to enhance our standards across the business to promote safe working practices on all our sites.” ”

All hazards and risks are identified, assessed and reduced before a job begins.
Our Mental Health Awareness Week was an opportunity to again highlight our approach about mental health and a reminder about the importance of looking after our health and mental well-being. To raise awareness, Errigal organised a ‘5,000 steps to well-being walk’ and a company breakfast with £700 raised for Pieta House.
We are proud to have become supporting members of ‘Mates in Mind,’ a leading Mental Health & Well-being organisation in the UK which aims to provide clear information to employees on available support as well as guidance on ways to deal with mental health, mental illness and mental well-being within the workplace.

H&S Focus - Battling Complacency
Complacency is possibly themost serious hazard that faces our workforce on a daily basis. Recognising this, our teamhave beenworking on ways to battle complacency on site ensuring that operatives are staying focused and maintaining high standards of safety at all times.
Here are some of the ways that we are attempting to tackle this;
5 point safety checklist cards are a daily reminder to operatives of what they need to do before starting work safely.
Daily debrief with operatives and Safety observation reports (SOR) for our work- force to raise any issues or safety hazards on site.
H&S Operative engagement walks – a time for our safety managers to speak with workers on site and raise concerns as well as reviewing safety practice.
Training Workshops
Training is a key element to ensuring that a high standard of safety is maintained on all our sites. Regular training workshops on topics such as manual handling, use of dust masks and working at height being held on site have been hugely successful in creating awareness and providing operatives with the knowledge to carry out all their works in a safe manner.

This year we organised a charity gala to help raise money and awareness for Ataxia Foundation Ireland and Children’s Leukaemia Charity Gala Fundraiser for Ataxia Foundation
Over £80,000 was raised for the charities, this was way beyond everyones expectations. We are humbled by the generosity and support from our local communities, local business and our partners in business throughout the UK and Ireland. A special thank you to all who shared a wonderful evening with us in August. We wish Ataxia Foundation all the best for 2019. Monaghan Fun Day
On Saturday 1st September we organised a family fun day to raise awareness for the new childcare facility in Clara, Co.Monaghan. It was a fantastic afternoon for everyone to enjoy some cakes and activities in the sun and over €2,500 was raised for the new centre.

Multiplex Boat Race Marathon Errigal staff had a fantastic evening at the Multiplex Dragon Boat Fundraiser event on the Thames, raising money for “Chickenshed”.
A group of 10 Errigal employees took part in this years Belfast City Marathon and raised money for both ‘Action Cancer’ and ‘Paediatric Cystic Fibrosis’ Unit in the Royal Belfast Hospital for Sick Children.
Charity Run for Ed London Sevens
Congratulations to those who took part in the Causeway Coast Half Marathon and 10km in September to raise money for the Prostate Cancer Research Centre in memory of a close family member and dear friend, Ed McCambridge. Errigal were proud to sponsor such a worthy cause in memory of an amazing man.
Errigal enjoyed a 7-a-side football tournament hosted by Multiplex for a charity event at Hackney Marshes Centre. Allproceedswentto“Chickenshed”.
Errigal were delighted to be back at the annual Berkeley Foundation charity GAA7’s football tournament in May.

Research & Development
Here at Errigal we have a purpose built research & development facility which is used to develop design concepts into buildable finished products. It enables us to run various scenarios on feasibility, buildability and efficiency whilst allowing us to gain a greater understanding on how we coordinate with other trades.
The R&D facility has a floor area of 600m2 (30x20m) therefore we are able to accommodate large scale mock-ups which in the past have included a seven metre high glazed partition in conjunction with an angle feature ceiling. Being a clean and dust-free environment it is also ideal for the application of paint samples and acoustic render systems. A recent project has seen the building of a full scale apartment to allow us to trial various finishes to the walls and ceilings. We were also able to bring some innovative joinery systems into the apartment to understand efficiency and time saving gains.

ERRIGAL FACADES
Our Facades division continues to grow and diversify and now offers balustrades and rainscreen systems. We are excited to continue expanding in 2019. Westfield Errigal have worked with Westfield Europe Ltd on their extension of the Westfield London site in Shepherds Bush. We have carried out a number of packages including bespoke aluminium wall & soffit cladding, media screen frames, entrance lobbies including glazed screen and doors and a full soffit to the underpass on Ariel Way with an order value over £6.5m.

Brunel Street Works
Errigal Facades have been working closely with Galliford Try Partnerships Ltd on their Brunel Street Works scheme in Canning Town over the past year. When complete, the scheme will provide 975 new apartments, 110 hotel rooms and commercial space along Silvertown Way adjacent to Canning Town station. We have been providing design, commercial and buildability advice and have just completed 6 full size planning mock-up panels showing the various materials and finishes for use throughout the scheme. We look forward to starting on site early next year on this exciting development.
Hounslow House
Works commenced in April on this fast track residential project for Bennett Construction with an order value £12.5m. The package comprises of six buildings between four and eleven storeys, including 293 homes and 900sqm of commercial space. The façade works include 9,000m2 of Gebrik cladding, 2,000m2 of insulated render and 2,500m2 of PPC aluminium cladding and soffits along with all PPC aluminium copings and flashings. This project will present a striking Gebrik finish consisting of various brick slip finishes and curved brick elevations – the project is progressing on programme with works due to complete on site May 2019.

Design Team update
Errigal have continued to add to our design team and now have an in-house team of 15 designers which includes architects, structural engineers and architectural technicians. Along with a number of key consultant partners we are competent in the delivery of full design packages using a number of different software systems such as Autodesk Revit, AutoCad, Solidworks and BuildDesk. We continue to invest in hardware and training with a number of our design team carrying out continuous training programmes.
Design Consultancy
All facades are modelled in Revit and coordinated with other trades such as the structural, architectural and MEP contractors. Steel framed structural models can alsobe linked fromTekla software toRevit to coordinate studpositionswith elements such as rainscreen panels and backing support. Clash detection can be carried out via Navisworks to avoid MEP ducting and stud clashes, minimising work on site. Through the use of modelling, all buildings can be viewed on BIM software, providing site management with access to view the model as an additional source of information.

Fireproofing
Our fireproofing division has seen a huge increase in demand in the last 12 months. We are now completing packages on some of the largest projects currently under construction. With 3rd party accreditation from Firas, membership of the ASFP and our valued supply chain we look forward to a busy 2019.
Fire Testing
Errigal have again this year been carrying out facade fire testing to BS8414 for a number of clients in the UK. We have carried out three tests in Elements facilities in Dubai in November 18 and one at the new Effectis facility at Ulster University Campus in Belfast in December 18.

FEATURED PROJECTS 22 Bishopsgate 22 Bishopsgate is located in London’s financial district and is the tallest commercial skyscraper currently under construction in the city of London. This is one of Multiplex’s flagship projects. It reaches 278 meters high and will feature some of the cities most high-end office space. Works are progressing well on our £22m fitout with Multiplex. Our works are currently at level 48 completing partitions and fireproofing and at level 34 installing SAS ceilings as part of the CAT A fit out on this 62 storey project. The project is currently on programme for completion in October 2019.
22 Bishopsgate - Lobby
Errigal Contracts have just recently secured the design and fitout of the prestigious lobby and viewing gallery. Works are due to begin in the first quarter of 2019 and an extensive design development process led by Errigal Contracts is currently underway. The lobby works will be carried out over 4 floors with a viewing gallery overlooking London’s skyline on floors 58 and 58M. On the ground floor, the main lobby will feature a cultural programme of art installations and theatre performances.

The scope of Errigal Contracts works include barrisol ceilings, feature leather ceilings and wall panelling, reception desks, architectural metal including bronze trims and linings, walls & ceilings including acoustic render finishes and feature GRG mouldings, floor finishes and decoration.

Wembley Park
Quintain - Changing the face of Wembley
Wembley Park is Quintain’s 85 acre development in North West London. When complete it will provide over 7,000 new homes and new retail spaces. Errigal are working with a number of main contractors on this exciting development. For McAleer & Rushe, on South West Lands, works are progressing well on this £10.5m fitout scope of 741 residential units over 4 blocks. We are currently on programme for completion ahead of schedule in 2019. Works recently commenced for McLaren on the W06 development comprising of 150 apartments and a 10 storey office block over 2 towers with a contract value of £3.5m. Errigal scopes on these projects includes the partitions, linings, ceilings, soffit insulation, fireproofing and the SFS, board and EPDM packages.
We are currently working with Ballymore Properties on the development of 950 residential apartments adjacent to the new US Embassy in Nine Elms London. We were awarded the £12m internal fitout package which included an initial high-end marketing suite mock-up, internal partitions, ceilings, bespoke bulkheads, fireproofing, soffit insulation and SFS external facade system. We have been working on this development for the past 3 years and we will continue working closely with Ballymore throughout 2019. This hugely impressive development is designed for people to work, live and relax together with the explosion of boutiques and cafés on the evolving South Bank. This development also boasts the worlds first spectacular ‘Floating’ swimming pool gliding between 2 of the blocks, 35m in the air.

ERRIGAL TRAINING ACADEMY
The Errigal Apprenticeship
The Errigal Training academy have been working in conjunction with South West College and North West Regional College for the past number of years and earlier this year saw our first two groups successfully complete the Errigal Apprenticeship. The successful graduates are now in full time employment with Errigal and are working on some of the largest commercial projects across the UK and Ireland. This year has seen the Errigal training academy becoming a certified City & Guilds Learning Centre and we are successfully offering fully certified training programmes in Drylining and Interior systems.

Upskilling
Well done to all Errigal Apprentices and co-ordinators who worked tirelessly throughout this year in preparation for the SkillBuild NI and SkillBuild UK competitions. Errigal Apprentices were awarded 1st, 2nd & 3rd place in the NI SkillBuild in May and went forward to the UK final in November where they received a magnificent 2nd and 3rd place.
We have developed an intensive training programme to upskill our existing workforce. Our goal is to have all Errigal operatives certified in drylining. Our existing operatives will also receive training in First Aid, IPAF, Manual Handling, PASMA and abrasive wheels.

This new Travelodge development consisted of the full (turnkey) fitout of 58 bedrooms, restaurant, bar and back of house areas. Also the full design and construction of a 6 screen cinema.

Brentford Lock West consists of 157 contemporary apartments and townhouses spread over 2 blocks. Errigal carriedout the internal dry lining works, along with external render to the facade and soffit insulation to the underground carpark.

We are involved in this prestigious residential development which consists of 72 high-end apartments. Errigal’s scope includes the partitions, ceilings, bespoke GRG and screeding packages.
One Blackfriars LOCATION: London CLIENT: St George SECTOR: Residential VALUE: Circa £1.2m
We have been contracted by St. George to complete this 17,500 ft2 high spec one off residential apartment over 5 floors in the heart of London. Our scope includes the partitions, ceilings, polished plasters and bespoke GRG packages.

This U shaped development at Lime Street Station ranging in height between 19 and 22 storeys consists of 1085 bedrooms for use as student accommodation. Our scope includes internal partitions, suspended ceilings and a SFS external wall system.

Project Fire LOCATION: Odense CLIENT: Mace/Ardmac
SECTOR: Data VALUE: €15m
This project is a vast Data centre in the Odense region of Denmark. We are currently completing several packages, consisting of the internal partitions and ceilings, decoration and finally we are undertaking a large UniStrut suspended ceiling (16,000m2) from which containment will be hung. We will have completed Phase 1 of the works totalling €7.5 million as of the end of February 2019. In May, we commenced our 2nd phase of works on this site, a mirror of Phase 1, with a contract value of €7.5million.

On this project our scope is to install almost 30,000 m2 of structural grid ceiling and the installation of 84 HACs (Hot Aisle Containment). We started this phase mid-October 2017 and are due to complete this towards the end 2018. This will be the 3rd completed phase of this project on this site.

Clayton Hotel Ballsbridge Sir John Rogersons Quay is a 6 storey office development combining a restored tramway entrance. Errigal completed the fitout of the partition & ceilings to the shell & core of this landmark office building.
Errigal were contracted to install the partitions and ceilings on this extension to the existing hospital which will create an additional 81 private rooms, 4 more operating theatres, inpatient wards, and a 10-bed intensive care unit (ICU).

Errigal were contracted to install the partitions, suspended ceilings and bespoke baffle ceilings to this pharmaceutical development for Shire. Currently in construction the plant is due to be fully functional in mid 2019.
Errigal completed the fitout to the partitions & ceilings of 44 brand new executive rooms to a new additional level of this luxurious 4 star hotel situated in Dublin’s south inner city.
