Licensure

§ After the submission of the NOR, the NIGC has 30 days to make a determination whether or not they object or concur with your eligibility determination and recommendation regarding licensure. § Within 30 days after the issuance of a license, a tribe shall notify the Commission of its issuance in accordance with 25 C.F.R. § 558. This is a notification of the applicants licensed by the tribe that you submitted NOR’s for. § You must also include in your notices all applicants not issued a license, either because they were denied, revoked, or quit before a license could be issued. § Should the NIGC object to your issuance of a license you must hold a hearing and determine whether or not the tribe will deny the Applicant. Based upon the testimony and evidence presented the tribe may decide to issue a license.
