have fellowship. Similarly, miscon ceptions concerning our -God cause us to have â thwarted and incomplete worship experience. Our worship will be improved as we increase in the knowledge of God, our Father, Shep herd, and Creator. Above all, in our worship we m u s t approach ,Him through the Lord Jesus ,Christ as our Saviour, our Sin-Bearer. II. WORSHIP MUST BE ENTERED INTO BY PREPARED HEARTS. In Psalm 101:2, David expresses his solemn resolve that he will walk be fore the Lord with a perfect heart, The heart which harbors unconfes sed sin will find it impossible to worship God. Often we as Christians need to be prepared in another way for thé wor ship experience. We live in a world of rush, of divergent interests, of varied problems, and so often we enter the house of God for worship but are not ready for that most holy experience. We need to have our hearts and minds, our interests and desires all focused on God. We must learn to “be still” in order that we may have communion with God. III. WORSHIP MAY BE ENRICHED BY A STUDY OF THE SCRIPTURAL .TEACHING CONCERNING IT. The Scriptures teach' us that God and He alone is to be worshiped. Warning is given against worshiping angels (Col. 2:18), material objects, or other gods (Ex. 20:3). Scripture teaches us that we can worship at any time and in any place. Daniel worshiped three times a day. Others worshiped at midnight, before dawn, on the Sabbath, and the like. Jacob worshiped on his deathbed, and Peter and Paul worshiped in prison. (For

P salm 100:1-5; 101:1-3 By Ruth McCreery Introduction In Psalm 100, we have one of the great calls in Scripture issued to all the earth to worship Qod and pay homage to Him. Worship is one of the highest and most important ex periences any Christian can have. Worship gives reality to his relation ship with God, it makes provision for important decisions and commit ments to Christ his Saviour and Lord, it helps the individual to appropriate the spiritual resources which make for steady and victorious Christian living, it aids in the solution of prob lems, and it gives zest and invigorates for life in the midst of commonplace activities. Wtìrship may be defined as an ex perience-of felt communion with G°d. It embodies not only thè individual soul’s reaching out toward God but also the consciousness of God’s con tact with the human soul in fellow ship and communion. For Those Who Hove Topics Worship may be improved by care fully observing the principles which underlie and govern the worship ex perience. A few of these are listed below- • L WORSHIP MUST BE BASED ON . AN ADEQUATE CONCEPT OF GOD. Psalm 100:3 says: “KNOW ye that the Lord he is God.” Worship must be intelligent. It is based on knowl edge, a knowledge of the Person and attributes of God. How utterly im possible it would be for us to have fellowship with a human being about whom we knew nothing! The spiritual experience of worship is Just as im possible apart from a knowledge of the One with whom we are going to D istribute through
