Standout achievements within the assessment period include investment of £230,000 in workforce development, and reductions of 57.7% in carbon emissions and 92% in workplace transport incidents. Through strong leadership, workforce engagement and continuous improvement, AG has delivered measurable improvements across safety performance, including decreases of 47% in overall company incidents, 55% in dangerous occurrences and 50% in injuries. AG won both the coveted Sir Frank Davies Trophy for Excellence in Health & Safety and Fatal 6 accolade at the MPA Awards, generating insurance rebates for positive claim performance. The company continues to reduce waste, minimise packaging and improve operational efficiency. Investment in recycled aggregate systems, alongside a £2m investment in AG’s wash plant and sustainable product development, supports circular manufacturing. The company places strong emphasis on wellbeing and mental health support, through its partnership with the Lighthouse Construction Industry Charity, mental health first aiders across all sites and suicide awareness training for managers. QUALITY PERFORMANCE AWARDS WINNER: Excellence in Asset Management WOODVALE CONSTRUCTION TERM SERVICES CONTRACT FOR EDUCATION AUTHORITY WESTERN REGION, OMAGH Woodvale Construction impressed judges with its outstanding delivery of reliable, efficient and high-quality services across a highly-collaborative partnership with the Education Authority Western Region. From delivering a rapid emergency response during Storm Éowyn to data-driven preventative maintenance and specialist educational facilities, the contractor has set a benchmark for excellence in asset and facilities management. Woodvale’s Facilities Management Division provides planned and reactive maintenance services across 255 educational properties throughout Tyrone and Fermanagh. Additional emergency maintenance support is delivered across more than 210 properties. In 2025 alone, the contractor completed 4,290 emergency property response calls supporting operational continuity across the North Coast region. Division services include roofing upgrades, fire safety works, internal refurbishments, window replacement programmes, mechanical and electrical repairs and emergency reactive maintenance. All works are delivered by an experienced Access NI-accredited workforce operating safely within live educational environments. Woodvale has consistently achieved its KPI response targets since 2014, with API integration between its CAFM system and the Education Authority workplace management system enabling live reporting, real-time attendance logging, photographic evidence uploads and rapid mobilisation of operatives. Robust compliance procedures and digital reporting ensure all statutory and contractual obligations are achieved.
