There’s something rather lovely about a place that doesn’t reveal everything at once. Across the Greater Bendigo and Loddon region, grand gold rush streets give way to winding country roads; bustling cafés, galleries and boutiques sit within easy reach of tiny townships, wide-open landscapes and places where slowing down feels like the most natural thing in the world. This is a region shaped by stories old ones and new ones. There’s history in the architecture and landscapes, creativity around unexpected corners, and a food and drink culture built on good produce, passionate people and the pleasure of gathering around a table.
