Finance/Personnel Bureau Goals Implementation Progress Police Administration  Procedural Justice Unit created curriculum, les- son plans, and PowerPoint presentations for Procedural Justice Training.  Facilitated a Community Procedural Justice Train the Trainer class for community members and Neighborhood Police Officers.  Hosted Citizen Use of Force scenario trainings. Operational Command Policy Management and Safety  Obtained accreditation through the Texas Po- lice Chief’s Association Best Practices Recogni- tion Program.  Continued to provide comprehensive support services to the Chief, Executive Staff, and de- partment personnel by issuing General Order, directives, special orders, and roll call training to personnel.

Training Division 

Forty-hour in-service began for the 2017 - 2019 training cycle. Received approval from TCOLE for online training. Online training will be avail- able in PowerDMS.  Implemented FBI Law Enforcement Executive Development Association (LEEDA) trilogy.  Outside training included the following courses: LIFE and Leadership Series, Facilitating Youth Engagement, Interactive Approach to Policing, Cell Phone Investigations, and Critical Decision Making.  Moved to a digital application, testing, and scoring process.  Continued to promote and increase participa- tion in the Explorer Program. The most recent class had 70 youth participants and 22 police officers participated in the program.
