Finance/Personnel Bureau Goals Implementation Progress Police Administration Procedural Justice Unit created curriculum, les- son plans, and PowerPoint presentations for Procedural Justice Training. Facilitated a Community Procedural Justice Train the Trainer class for community members and Neighborhood Police Officers. Hosted Citizen Use of Force scenario trainings. Operational Command Policy Management and Safety Obtained accreditation through the Texas Po- lice Chief’s Association Best Practices Recogni- tion Program. Continued to provide comprehensive support services to the Chief, Executive Staff, and de- partment personnel by issuing General Order, directives, special orders, and roll call training to personnel.
Training Division
Forty-hour in-service began for the 2017 - 2019 training cycle. Received approval from TCOLE for online training. Online training will be avail- able in PowerDMS. Implemented FBI Law Enforcement Executive Development Association (LEEDA) trilogy. Outside training included the following courses: LIFE and Leadership Series, Facilitating Youth Engagement, Interactive Approach to Policing, Cell Phone Investigations, and Critical Decision Making. Moved to a digital application, testing, and scoring process. Continued to promote and increase participa- tion in the Explorer Program. The most recent class had 70 youth participants and 22 police officers participated in the program.
