Finance/Personnel Bureau Accomplishments
Professional Standards Upgraded the IA Pro software system with new software extensions. Updateed Use of Force policy and added de- escalaton and excessive force policies in the General Orders. Obtained 100% compliance with Recognition Program Monthly Audits.
Financial Management Division Budget updates are provided at Executive Staff meetings. Overtime reports are sent each pay period. Increased number of grant applications each year. Performed quarterly site visits to Crime Control and Prevention District-funded Partners with a Shared Mission programs to gain a better un- derstanding of the activities provided to partici- pants and answer any questions. Program Support Division Staff attended more than 100 training events during the last two fiscal years. Research and Planning created a Strategic Plan Implementation Dashboard in ClearPoint; pro- vided monthly updates for Business Plan, and quarterly CCPD Performance Reports. Managed several facility projects including North Division, Tactical Center, West Division/ Joyce, and completing the move from 350 W. Belknap to Calvert. Technology Services researched over 50 new technologies.
Communications Division and Quality Assurance
Assisted Municipal Court with establishing their own Criminal Justice Agency for CJIS.
Installed new consoles each year.
Cost analysis is complete and currently seeking funding and location for a back-up location. Administrative Support Command Employment Services Staff met with multiple divisions and personnel to plan for hiring and recruiting. Attended multiple trainings including: Excelling as a Manager, Question Behind the Question, Lean Thinking, and Electronic Classification Re- quest training. Met with the City’s Human Resources Depart- ment to discuss ways to improve communica- tion among work units. Provided timely and professional counsel and guidance to employees and supervisors on questions about retirement, compensations time hours, transfers, and performance evalua- tions.
