All Drifters Adventure Tour vehicles are designed to reflect decades of experience in the safari industry. Passenger cabin, body work, and storage areas are all custom-built to our specifications, taking passenger safety, comfort and reliability into account. All vehicles are inspected, serviced, and completely re-supplied before each tour departure. Our fleet is made up out of 2×4 vehicles and a range of 4×4 vehicles used in Botswana and Uganda.

With 9 reclining seats, everyone can relax in style, secured by 3-point seat belts that ensure your safety on every journey. The vehicle interior remains refreshingly cool with opening windows in each row and air-conditioning throughout. USB chargers are also conveniently placed, ensuring that your devices can stay powered throughout the trip. Additionally, a separate luggage compartment ensures ample space for belongings, completing the perfect travel experience with both luxury and practicality.

For the Drifters Uganda 13 day tour we make use of a 4x4 truck similar to our standard truck, but specifically designed and adapted to suit rough and rugged terrain. These vehicles are fully equipped, ensuring maximum client comfort during your tour. 4x4 TRUCK

The scheduled Botswana Tours and the Botswana Private Safaris make use of exclusive custom-built Drifters Land Cruiser 4x4 safari vehicles, which are perfectly suited to effortlessly explore the natural wilderness of Botswana. Our Pioneer Tours take you to the most spectacular locations, where you will be sleeping under canvas, offering an immersive experience like no other. We provide guests with the best quality equipment, as we make use of our very own designed and produced camping equipment. The canvas dome tents are 1.8m high by 2.1m wide and come with comfortable camp beds. A maximum of 2 persons can be accommodated in our tents.

• Mobile camps can be at unfenced sites, using spacious tents, camp beds, bucket showers and bush toilets. • The touring price includes most meals as stipulated, coffee, tea, juice at breakfast, tented accommodation, 2 Drifters guides, entrance fees, park fees and permits (except the gorilla trekking permit on the Uganda Tour). • Not included in the touring price are beverages (such as alcohol, bottled water and soft drinks), gratuities, curios, visas and any optional extras/activities. • Most major currencies can be exchanged upon arrival at the main airports. Credit cards are generally accepted. Spending money will be required for restaurant meals, drinks, tips, curios and any other optional activities. • It is your responsibility to ensure that you have the appropriate visas required for your trip, if any are needed. Some nationalities might need to obtain visas before departure. • During winter the temperature can drop very low at night and during the summer months it can get very hot at midday. Suitable clothing is recommended, as well as a rain jacket, hat and sunscreen. • On these tours, there will be a certain amount of walking, and therefore a small daypack is advisable. • Before departure, you will be required to enter into an agreement and indemnity pertaining to our booking conditions and general information. You are required to have your own comprehensive travel insurance. • Given the remote locations we visit, itinerary changes may occur due to unforeseen circumstances, as well as unexpected delays. • Children: South Africa, Botswana, Angola, Kenya, and Tanzania - No under 12 years Namibia - Recommended age of 7 years upwards Uganda - No under 17 years • Seasonal malaria precautions are advisable, especilly for Botswana, Kenya and Uganda. • Some days may involve long driving distances.
