Overview

Kyocera is introducing an important update to the A4 Product line positioning, focused on improving competitiveness through targeted price reductions and CPC alignment between select A3 and A4 devices. This guide outlines the details of the update, including supporting rationale and dealer benefits.

The update includes the following components:

Aggressive A4 Price Reduction

A3 and A4 CPC alignment.

1. Aggressive A4 Price Reduction

1.1 Summary

Kyocera is reducing hardware pricing across the A4 product line, with significant decreases applied to 14 of our 30 models. These reductions, some as high as 28%, are effective immediately. This adjustment represents a deliberate investment to boost A4 penetration and dealer success.

2. A3 and A4 CPC Alignment

2.1 Summary

To give dealers the ability to easily offer standardized CPC in mixed fleet environments, selected four A4 models will now have same CPC as equivalent A3 devices, achieved by up to 38% reduction in toner LDC across these select A4 models.

2.2 Dealer Benefits

Dealers can now easily offer true mixed fleet consistency and compete head-to-head when customers standardize CPCs.

Dealers can attack net-new customers with A4 instead of A3, when needed.

Dealers will have higher profitability on existing MIF of these models due to the toner price reduction.

MAP Structure Overview We recognize that the recent growth of third-party sellers on Amazon has led to challenges for our partners. To address this, and to enhance competitiveness with competing brands, protect the brand’s image, and ensure a healthy dealer network, we have segmented our A4 portfolio into Dealer Preferred and Online Preferred models. We are also updating our MAP structure and pricing and will be monitoring online advertised pricing more closely to help support a fair and consistent marketplace for everyone.

Dealer Preferred models MAP will be LDC (Low Dealer Cost)

Online Preferred models will have a MAP of LDC less 30%.

Previously, all A4 models had a MAP of LDC less 20%.

Kyocera will no longer sell Dealer Preferred models online, and will only sell Online Preferred models on ecommerce platforms, like Amazon. Please note that the only exception to this is that Kyocera may have existing inventory of Dealer Preferred models which it will sell online until that inventory is depleted.
