The new 2023-2029 Strategic Plan is a coherent roadmap to guide the district and achieve its agreed upon goals and objectives. The plan provides the framework for guiding our direction through 2029 and helps to distinguish Westminster School District as a world-class, first choice public school system that students and families select for success. This new strategic plan offers direction for the future and serves as our commitment to priorities in providing quality
educational programs to students. It serves as a declaration of vision, mission, and core values that guide our collaborative work, and the plan for internal and external accountability. I fully expect our WSD Community - employees, students, families, and educational partners – to provide continuous input and gauge our progress in fulfilling our vision, mission, goals and objectives.

Academic Achievement & Continuous Innovation We are committed to continuous innovation and use of highly effective instructional strategies that instill a lifelong habit of intellectual inquiry. To that end, WSD provides a diverse, engaging, and well-rounded education that challenges and inspires each student to reach the highest level of achievement.
Create, implement, and continually improve a district-wide plan for instructional programs, strategies, and assessment tools ensuring all learners achieve grade level proficiency in all core subject areas (Literacy, Language Arts, Math, Science, Social Studies, PE, and Electives).
Provide timely and effective differentiated instructional practices that monitor progress, inform teaching practices, and ensure student

Student and staff safety and wellness are essential components of an environment that is conducive to teaching and learning. WSD promotes a culture of emotional health, safety, and well-being where our educational community thrives.

Implement a systematic and measurable approach to guarantee students and staff are supported socially, emotionally, and behaviorally

WSD BOARD OF EDUCATION With unanimous approval by the WSD Trustees, President Johnson's motion was approved to create a long term strategic plan including a meaningful aspirational Vision that leads to measurable accountability goals, maximized student outcomes, and continual improvement ensuring that WSD is Orange County's destination district. Each member of our Board enthusiastically contributed to this innovative plan resulting in WSD INSPIRES! The Board would like to thank Superintendent Hansen and her staff for developing award winning schools leading the way where every student maximizes their potential.
