In February, we renewed our ISO 14001 certification, and we’ve just launched our first Net Zero Report, outlining the steps we’re taking to reduce our footprint and meet ambitious carbon targets. These aren’t just milestones, they reflect a mindset of constant progress, environmental responsibility, and reinvestment in what matters most: our products, our people, and our planet. To celebrate our milestone 50th anniversary this September, we’re thrilled to announce the launch of the Havwoods50 – a retrospective showcase of fifty memorable, inspiring and innovative projects delivered by Havwoods across the globe. The Havwoods50 is an exciting opportunity to share remarkable stories and celebrate some of the most incredible spaces and aspirational interiors we’ve crafted for our clients. We’ll be selecting fifty projects to feature in the Havwoods50 commemorative book, a special printed edition being released this September. Driving high standards in logistics

Added to our transport fleet in early 2025, our new 32-tonne Volvo FH 8x2 Tridem Globetrotter XL rigid incorporates the latest fuel-saving technology to increase efficiency and reduce CO₂ emissions. Operating from our state-of-the-art distribution centre in Carnforth, the impressive vehicle is expected to cover up to 150,000 km a year, delivering our products to clients across the UK. Mick Leech, our Head of UK Operations, says: “By investing in high-spec vehicles like our new Volvo we continue to set the standard for excellence in our logistics and supply chain, ensuring that our luxury wood flooring and surfaces arrive in perfect condition – just as our clients would expect. “The Volvo engine offers a balance of power and fuel economy, ensuring we can maximise efficiency on our long-haul journeys while keeping running costs down. The 8x2 Tridem axle configuration – with lifting pusher and tag axles – also offers excellent manoeuvrability and load stability, ensuring safer and more efficient deliveries.”

Achieving a better future together Our ongoing commitment to reducing our environmental impact In February this year, we were very proud to successfully renew our ISO 14001 certification - an important milestone in Havwoods’ ongoing commitment to sustainability. Originally achieved in February 2024, the renewal of this internationally agreed and recognised certification reinforces our dedication to reducing environmental impact and continuously striving towards ambitious global sustainability goals. The ISO 14001 certification sets the standard for EMS (Environmental Management Systems) and provides a framework for organisations to design and implement an EMS to continually improve their environmental performance. Over the last two years, teams across Havwoods have worked to continuously review and implement numerous initiatives associated with Environmental, Social & Governance (ESG).

Built upon a proud legacy dating back to 1927, Castle Bespoke Flooring has been built upon four generations of expertise in wood flooring craftsmanship. Today, it is one of largest and most-respected wood floor companies in the Northwest of America. Peaceful and tranquil, this nautical bolthole is perched above Towan Beach in Newquay, on the beautiful and dramatic north coast of Cornwall. The Bergen 1-Strip flooring from the hard-wearing Henley Collection was chosen to complement the property’s design scheme. The varying tones of the Auburn colourway catch the light beautifully from the open windows, adding depth and contrast to the open and airy aesthetic of the interior. The flooring is followed through the whole house for consistency with the arched doorway adding a touch of charm and softness to the space. Radiating warmth throughout, the Rustic grade planks have been paired with clean, white walls and a neutral interior scheme for a fresh, coastal vibe that will help guests escape into a relaxation haven. The dark grain of the wood ties in beautifully with the black rocking chairs and other darker accents in the living room, balancing the overall colour palette and enhancing the space’s visual harmony.
